Help with a bee sting

Post by Ginny Wilken »

I got stung once really hard Saturday evening by a yellowjacket (wasp). He had gotten into the house and apparently tired and collapsed in my sink. I inadvertently threw a dustcloth on him and then picked it up. He got me in the web of my right hand index finger, and unfortunately I ended his life in a moment of panic.

I took one dose of Apis 200c, felt fine, but later took a 200c dose of Hypericum for the pain that was increasing, which worked instantly. Sunday morning it was badly swollen and itchy/painful. Another dose of Apis brought some relief but it didn’t last. This morning it was very swollen, red, with the characteristic white center area, and some streaking and blotching down into the hand. After reading, I went with Lach 30c, but several doses produced not much relief. It is still stiff, swollen, painful, itchy, and I am weak and light-headed - no fever, but can’t focus my brain well.

Anybody have any ideas? I am sure it will resolve on its own, but, heck, we’re supposed to be able to fix stuff:)

Thanks in advance,

ginny

Thanks! I thought Ledum, but Ledum is cold, and this is definitely hot, almost to the Bell level, but no full-body heat, just local. And red, not blue. Might try it anyway…or not. No desire to raise; if anything, I like to squeeze the finger.

Look up Vespa. Might want to check out Bell, also.

More APis 200C whenever the effect wears offl
and LOTS of Vitmin C (start with 5000mg) , also pantothenic acid 1500 mg and 100 mg B6 if you have those

Why is Vitamin C so important in this instance?

I had an unusual experience when I was stung on one foot one day and the other foot the next. While Ledum helped one foot, I needed Apis for the other. But the real completion of the very big reactions from both feet, was added Vitamin C.

Apis in higher or lower potency, or put the 200 in water and plus-up as you go?

Have you thought of going down to 30c?

OK, thanks, all! I’ll go back to Apis 200c; all my dosing is in water. My current regime includes massive amounts of B12, B6, and pantothenic acid, so should be fine there. I use lipospheric Vit C, where 1 gram equals about 5. I normally use two grams daily, and can raise it. This makes sense to me.

Currently the affected area is growing more concise; instead of the whole hand, only the bottom two joints of the index finger as well as the knuckle area are quite hot, while the rest of the hand and the end of the index finger are cool.

I’ll read the other suggestions as well. Thanks again,

ginny
