Re: EYE IRIS
Hi All;
I saw a patient last week with an eye condition that is new to me. The upper sector of both iris have a symmetrical cloudy mirror image of each other following under the curvature of the upper eye lid. This opaqueness does not extend to the Sclera of the eye, but just under the upper eye lids over the irises. The lower part of both iris are quite normal. I question whether this is a type of Corneal Dystrophy, but have been unsuccessful in finding collaborating information to support this. Has anyone else observed this condition?
There are no other eye symptoms other than having wore reading glasses for several years and at times has a heavy sensation around the eyes along with a tired head feeling.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Tks Bob

EYE IRIS
Hi Leilanae
The photos did not come up. However, I reviewed some Iridology info and Arcus Senilis. Although the patient is not experiencing headaches, facial pain or undue vision impairment, iridology suggest the early stages of cerebral arteriosclerosis. Given their tinnitus and senior age, a gemmotherapy treatment to improve arterial flexibility and help remove any arterial build up will be of a benefit. We'll then let the eyes tell their story.
I want to thank you ever so much for your thought.

Hi Bob,
I just entered Arcus senilis at Wikipedia and it came up. Some times things work and sometimes they don't???????
Wiki mentions hypercholesterolemia with a differentiation with the limbus sign which reflects calcium rather than lipid deposits, hyperlinoproteinemia or hyperlipidemia.
Also mentioned the deposits tend to start at 6 and 12 o'clock and fill in until becoming completely circumferential.

Ya - ain't computers just a delight !
Good thoughts Leilanae. In circulatory disorders Arcus Senilis starting at the 12 o'clock position it initially appears as a crescent in Iris Zone 7 of the brain areas and can extend to Zones 5 and 6.
When seen in the lower 6 o'clock position it relates to anemia in the lower legs. Fortunately for this person it is a translucent veil that suggest it is still in a reasonably early stages as opposed to the bluish-grey of a long chronic condition.
In this case there is no cholesterol/sodium ring which is also supported by normal cholesterol blood tests. I am thinking more towards Cerebral Anemia. This is where Ferr Phos comes is considered to enhance oxygen to the brain and aid in strengthening the arterial walls. Given their age I believe the application of Gemmos which will also help strengthen while improving elasticity of the arterial wall as well as eliminating whatever arterial plaque may be present is appropriate.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the detailed differentiation! Definitely a "save".
Ferr Phos as a cell salt (?) and which Gemmos?

Hi Leilanae
Yes cell salt, Ferr Phos. Right now I am considering concentrates of Olea Eurpopea, Alnus Glucanosa and Juniper Communis.
Then we'll let the eyes tell the rest of the story and........ the balance of the patient can contribute too. NO pun intended 8>D

PS I have always found the pharmacy, Dr. Reckeweg an excellent organization holding their customers foremost.

Hi
I have been an Iridologist for over 20 years. I was trained under Bernard Jensen when he was alive......
I believe what you are talking about is arcus senilis. Arcus Senilis will only be at the top of the eye. If the cloudiness is all around the eye that is very different.
Arcus Senilis means that memory is having issues..... there is a lot more to it and I will add pictures to see if this is what you are talking about...
Let me know if the pictures show
Hope this helps
Pam

Hi Pam
I see you sent this mail on the 18th and I received it this morning Nov 27. The same thing happened to a mail I sent out around the 15th that took a week or so it arrive at it's destination. Talk about snail mail ! 8>D
How fortunate you have been to have studied under the master of Iridology. That truly must have been an exciting learning experience.
The attachments came through bright and clear thanks, and the brown eye is similar to the hazel eye of the patient. There is some short term memory difficulties, which I would consider normal for their years. Now that not to say there is no sclerotic activity as no doubt all seniors are experiencing various degrees of a hardening of the arteries.
I have started with Olea Europa / Alnus Incana / Juniper Communis in potency 1X. I keep thinking of Crataegus Oxyacantha as I have seen wonderful results in it's abilities to work with the arterial system. Perhaps something to consider as a follow up. Have you seen successful results using Gemmotherapy?
