Rubric help: manipulation

Dear Rochelle,

You described the attitude of this child (4 years?) as manipulative, but
from what you tell us below, I wouldn't use this concept at all to type this
behaviour.
To me manipulative behaviour is much more subtle, covered, surrounded with
charm....
To type this behaviour I would go looking in rubrics like jealousy's or/and
'fear to be left alone'.
BTW, I think it is *very* unwise of the Mum to give in on the child's
demand to sleep in one room (bed?) with Mum and Dad in a next room.
A child of every age has to learn that it is part of the family and not the
centre of the family.
Of course, only my opinion.
