Hi Tanya
I just tuned into this discussion, so not sure how long it's been going on. I don't think you meant to imply that Veterinarians (even homeopathic ones) should put out false information about vaccinating an animal when they actually didn't do it.
You implied that people have the rights not to vaccinate their children, and that is true.
Animal owners also have the right not to vaccinate their animals.
But they should not expect a licensed veterinarian to put his or her name on a piece of paper that states an untruth.
This would be putting the veterinarian at risk.
Don't forget that if for some reason that dog came down with Rabies and the owner had a piece of paper that said it had been vaccinated by a veterinarian...that would open up a whole can of worms for everyone.
As a homeopathic vet I do not push vaccinations on my animal patients. Instead we discuss which ones might be necessary depending on the lifestyle of the animal.
However the Rabies vaccine is required by law in most states. I do give it and suggest it (every three years at most) for all dogs and only cats that go outdoors. Indoor cats are another story.
I personally have not used nosodes for any of the vaccines.
And I personally no longer give Lyssen or Thuja post vaccines either. I do believe that if an animal starts showing any signs of reacting to the vaccine I will then give the appropriately indicated remedy, rather than just use a cookie cutter approach to giving these two remedies.
This is a topic that has been discussed a lot on a homeopathic veterinarian site I belong to. I have begun to feel that giving remedies as preventatives for vaccine reactions doesn't make that much sense since every animal will express it's reaction in its own way. Who knows I may change my mind in the future but this is how I feel now.
Best, Jill

Jill,
I understand your position and perhaps just wrote out of frustration with the problem. I really wouldnt want to put a practitioner on the line.
