Of course, it would be supremely desirable for this dear lady's case to be taken in its entirety, but if that were not immediately possible, and Aconitum was at first helpful, but them limited in it's ability to resolve, might one ever consider Ignatia for such a situation....fright, shock, PTSD, irrational fear of single stranger vs. number of them?
Being a complete and inexperienced newbie, I would appreciate all opinions as to why it might or might not be appropriate to consider, barring a full work-up.
Thank you,
Diana
Hello,
This is where getting to the root of the problem with your mother is important.
Aconite helps if it is a great shock, But it looks like this is now more than just a shock, the fear is much more elemental, she has become afraid of a situation and the reasoning must be addressed.
Yes, you can use aconite as a constitutional remedy, but you did not give me the impression that this fear is a chronic state, just that it is triggered by certain events.
What is behind this fear? Insecurity about her strength? Fear of being a victim? Was she always like this or did this come from a bad experience.
This is why we take whole cases, the more we know the better the ability to address the real fears of the patient.
Warmly, Maria

Re: frightful event
Hello
I would seriously consider Arsenicum album in this case, as ars is a chief remedy for fright.
Ignatia is more for shock that drives to grieving than the type that runs in panic.
Check if other symptoms match.
Good luck.

It is NOT!
Its first aid use is diarrhea and vomiting simultaneously.
Aconitum napellus is known for fright.
And Arnica.
Symptoms need to match.
