frightful event

i need help for a remedy for my mother who encountered a frightful event yesterday
her and 2 friends were in a car when a girl high on drugs came running at them with a knife, opened the door and tried to stab them.
my mom got out of the car and tried to talk her out of it got stabbed at, and thankfully held up a book which blocked the stabbing attacks, but she dropped the book and went to pick it up and the girl was about to stab her in the face. then the other lady got out of the car and this girl started chasing her and ended up stabbing her in the forehead
my mom treid to call 911 butprobably out of shock or nervousness could not do it
the feeling she had during the incident was calm but very fast heart palpitations, feeling anxious fearful and lots of salivation which tasted like blood but was not blood.
now today she is sleepless and fearful when she goes out , very alert and watching to see whos around.

she feels better when she talks to someone about it. Also she is thinking about what could have happened with fear, even tho it did not happen
when trying to sleep those images come into her head....of the incident
would aconite help......even tho she did not have a fear of death

also she is wide awake altho tired, feels bad she did not help her friend sooner to maybe prevent the stabbing, and worried about her kids because they stay home alone...what if something happens type thing...

I would suggest RESCUE REMEDY right away, and keep doing it every 30 minutes till she regains composure, even put it in a glass of water.....and then a few doses of Aconite Nap 30c and wait and see if she snaps out of it. And then get her to a nearby homeopath to quickly DEAL with this stress/fear before it becomes a nuisance.

thank you guys so much ... I really appreciate it.........I will try the aconite I just wasn't sure because it predicts death and she didn't at all
one other thing if it changes anything is , that she never wants to be a burden, so she didn't tell us kids till a day later and kept all the fear inside just to not be a burden
but her personality is she feels better if she talks to people about it, anyone and everyone, and if they comfort her she feels good
thanks again everyone I really really appreciate it, shes older and I just dont want anything to become chronic......I will start with the aconite

Aconitum predicts nothing.
It is apropriate when the symptoms are WITHIN the remedy possibilities.

In other words you need only find ONE piece (or a few pieces that match the patient) of the jigsaw puzzle in the total aconitum jigsaw, and that one piece/es makes aco relevant. What ELSE aco lists is totally irrelevant.

Or to put it another way -- we prescribed based on what *is* there (in the patient's symptom picture), not based on what is not there. No one will (thank God!) display all symptoms of the remedy they need, and not necessarily even all of those most characteristic of the remedy.

hello so far ive given one dose in water of 30c.....but how long after taking it should she have felt maybe less fear.......shes calm but the incident rattled her
one more thing id like to add she feels guilty horrible because her friend got stabbed who had gotten out of the car to help my mom. My mom feels its her fault
also on closing her eyes she re visits the whole situation and has to open her eyes
also she cannot watch the news now or anything violence related
should I repeat the aconite 30c....thansk

I would expect a result, with calming and rationality returning within about ten minutes. I would have repeated the dose in 15 minutes if there were no result, and be prepared to repeat as often as it takes to keep symptoms at bay, which interval should decrease over a day or so.

If I had a higher potency like a 200c, I would use it if the 30c failed to last.

Generally speaking there are many aspects of this case which could and should be handled by an experienced homeopath. If they are not, she runs the risk of carrying some effects down the road. I am concerned in particular by any suppression of feelings or thoughts about the incident.
