I don't see any value in it being liquid. I WANT it to be thickish so I can spread it like a nut butter on my brazil/hazel nuts that I eat for breakfast. Then I have eaten something anti-inflammatory for breakfast in the gut, and I START the day with food instead of spiced-infused liquid oili!! Just a thought...I like dense food in my get as early in the as possible.
One more time Roger: what spices do you use on a regular basis, or what ones do you think might be good but don't necessarily take on an everyday basis?
Thanks.
Vicki

Vicki,
I like the idea of a spread. I think that I will try that. But I don't do bread. Perhaps I could spread it on cheese.
I am currently doing turmeric (X 4), cumin, cinnamon, ginger, coriander, and cloves ( divided by 4). My next batch will be that plus some cardamom. I believe that they are all anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, and I know for sure they at least some of them are anti-inflammatory since that combination reduces my inflammation.
Roger

Re: DIFFERENCES OF DELIVERING ANTI-INFLAMMATION SPICES AND THEIR NAMES!
Roger, nor do I do bread. I use NUTS (allowed on Paleo). So I start off the morning with oil pulling, then I do the brazil and hazel nuts in a bowl and get my JAR. Using a knife, to spread a little "inflammation remedy" on each nut. I think this helps to start the day w/energy and something healthy in the gut. Yes, try it and see what you can do with it. I don't eat cheese, so that doesn't work..... no dairy is strict, but I do use butter sometimes. I know you do your milk kefir... I quit that too.
Ok... good. My ginger is lightly fermented or at least it infuses in the coconut cream and gets liquid in the bottom of the jar. However, I don't see fermentation bubbles. I do that in a separate jar of coconut cream and a little salt for 24-48 hours. My Indian friend from Bangalore does all of her tomato chutney that way (w/light ferment for 24 hours) and it is the best thing you can ever imagine! She also told me to sit it in the sun, which I do with my vinegar weight loss marinade.
I'll take 1/2 of what I have sitting now in the big jar (w/ginger) and add the cumin/coriander I have in the house and let both jars sit for 2 days before using.
Yesterday my friend in MD also sent me a protocol for Paleo for autoimmune disease, which is a very... very different diet Roger. If you're Paleo and have an autoimmune disease the diet would be tough to follow, at least for me (no eggs, nuts and I forget the rest). I asked my homeopath if I have an autoimmune disease. He told me to get my doctor to do the blood test for autoimmune. If I do then we'll treat from there with food and remedy. Let me know if you want the link.
At this point I will do anything to get rid of the inflammation and its pain. As I understand it, stress management is critical for inflammation.
Cheers! It's another beautiful BLUE SKY Colorado.
