Water in Colorado (For CO residents)

Post by Vicki Satta »

Roger: BTW, where do you get your water in Colorado? I used to drive up to the source at Eldorado canyon above Boulder. I did that for about 18 years because the water was .25 cents a gallon vs. 1.00. Then they stopped taking care of the road and it was dirt, so the huge holes didn't make it drivable for my Honda Accord!

So... now I've been looking all over the state about where to get water. I tried all of those "sources" in Manitou Springs! Yuk... sulphur. Do you know anything about water in Pagosa Springs? Too far to drive, but ??? Any other ideas?

Sorry to bother the rest of you, probably not in CO.

If there is no source, I need a pitcher recommendation because I cannot afford a water system!

Thanks!
Vicki

Distilled water is tasteless and minus minerals, and over time that matters.

Thanks for sharing Sheri.

I did some reading at the recommended site and will do the thorough research before the weekend. I am/was one that thought that minerals were an important component of the reason why water needs to be from a pristine source high in the mountains. What I read so far seems to debunk that theory! I don't mind being wrong if I move to the "correct" information. My only reason for being a "fanatic" about homeopathy, water, food and fermentation is that I am "sick and tired of being sick and tired," and I believe that I really can heal by following the treatment plan my homeopath gave me and implementing it 100%. However, he has never spoken to me about water. I thought I was smart enough to figure that out without any coaching! Duh, wrong again... :-)
I always keep 2 gallons of distilled water in the house for making remedies, but I make sure I don't drink it because I thought it was without minerals that were critical to my health. :-)

Anyway, thanks again. I will probably have more questions. I usually do. :-)

Vicki

Hi Vickie
We get our minerals from our food, not our water. Our water brings the nutrients into the cells and drop them off and then takes toxins out.
If water has minerals can't drop off as not usable, then can't take nutrients into the cell and drop them and can't take toxins out.

HI Sheri I have trouble with the statement re water with minerals cant be utilised – water is one of the bodies major solvents – and does not exist in a ‘pure’ state anywhere in the body except perhaps the mouth when initially drinking distilled water – through osmosis and filtration – either water or solutes will move to equalise the distribution of minerals and molecules throughout the solute. The solvent is the carrier and it delivers the nutrients and minerals to the bodies tissues – plasma/interstitial fluid is water based (Lymphatics are more fat based) and bathes every cell in our body – if it was ‘pure’ it would not be able to do this job – and yes we can uptake minerals form our water – it may not be a major source but it happens – much of the distilled water has a warning label about using it exclusively for drinking water – as it can alter the osmolarity of the fluids

So show me where minerals in water can be utilized in that form?

And no distilled water I have or my distiller has any such warning.

Read some of the info on my page http://www.wellwithin1.com/distilledwater.htm

I have consumed steam distilled water primarily
for 15 years, as my main source of water.
And I know of many who have done it longer- see RBTI
http://www.advancedideals.org/019_calci ... or-IS-7638

It also is about energy - the energy of the water
and steam distilled is closest to natures way with water

I can't help feeling there must be a (big) difference between natural
evaporation (no boiling) and condensing (which, in all, includes all
natural stages the water goes through), and boiling water/condensing
steam in a distiller.
Dewdrops, yes, please ;-)
