Practice shows that external factors can cause such complaints or blockages that our homeopathic treatment does not have enough effect. The patient has relapses or hardly any progress after a well-chosen remedy.

Hahnemann taught us in his Organon to treat the causa before we start homeopathic treatment. So, when a patient lives in a damp house or has unhealthy eating habits this has to be dealt with first before the homeopathic treatment can be successful.

However, in our modern times the use of pharmaceutical medicines has become almost a standard part of our life, for example the use of hormones or antibiotics. These new causa can be treated with HDT, blockages can be lifted by administering the pathogenic and body's own substances in a homeopathic way, to gain a new balance in hormones, bacteria and enzymes.
Nowadays this method is a full and essential part of the homeopathic constitutional treatment. Where allopathy no longer knows what to do with all side effects, homeopathy makes a positive contribution with HDT.

Hahnemann himself worked this way. He gave Mercury, Arsenic, Niccolum, Zincum and Cadmium to patients who became ill after having worked with these heavy metals.
Example: Hahnemann prescribed Mercury to patients who worked with gold leaf in churches, as mercury is used to make gold leaf.

It was made clear in the past that Ardavan intends the *focus* to be Hahnemannian, but "sidetracks" are to be permitted.
If this is to be changed, Ardavan himself should let us know.

But it's also worth noting again, that we have all of these other past homeopathy lists, which are still alive though largely inactive, to which any "controversial" discussions could be moved, if anyone wanted.
