Case drills (1)

Post by vtyekkirala »

Hi,
From what JW wrote in the "Faces of Homeopathy", E.E.Case
must have been a good prescriber of his times. The following is
extracted from the drills in prescribing by Case in EH.

"Painful stiffness of tendons under the knees; worse when she begins to walk
and when tired from walking; better for awhile from continued walking.
Dragging pain across lumbo-sacral region; worse after rising from stooping,
also worse from walking.
Red sandy sediment in urine.
Restless, broken sleep, especially before midnight.
Pulsation on the inside of left knee joint."

On reading the modalities in the first symptom anyone would find Rhus-t
staring in the face but a bit further down the red sand in the urine rules
it out.
Hence the other remedy that has the same modalities of motion as
Rhus-t, but also has the red sand in the urine; - yes what else it can be
other than the one our old master was reputed to have used (or abused ?)
to seduce his young wife, Melaine.
So I was in for a rude shock to find that the answer to the above case
given by Case was card-m ( ! ) . I doubt if it is a
print error and if any of you could verify it from the original source
of publication please let me know.
.
V.T.Yekkirala.
