Dear Jayne, I thought I would add the following regarding your case.
I would urge you to do a comparison between Kali Carb and Colocynthis before
you decide to go ahead with Colocynthis.
Colocynthis is usually very angry, irritable and indignant but they can also
keep a lot of their emotions trapped inside them and they become taciturn
and grumpy. Surprisingly though they can be extremely sympathetic - I think
it is usually the pain makes them so irritable and when free from pain they
shine a different light altogether. They are > when alone, have a tendency
to be timid, suffer from past grief easily. Overall present as restless and
nervous.
Kali Carb can also be irritable but there is an over riding sense of anxiety
and fear - weakness dominates. They have a definite agg. period as do all
the Kaliums - early morning 2-4 am (ish). They are fearful about the future
and especially anxious about their own health. They also can prefer to be
alone. They are sensitive, sad and tearful which distinguishes it from
Colocynthis.
Both remedies have ovarian cysts and tumours and the pains are similar and
both have the modality of >>> for pulling the knees up, doubling up. Both
are > for lying on painful
side!!!) Both have flatulence and distention and both have cutting,
lancinating pains which go upwards to the hip and down to the knee.
I don't want to dictate what remedy to give because you know the case better
than anyone else but somehow the emotional sx you describe don't quite fit
Colocynthis, in my opinion anyway.
I would also urge you to establish some form of supervision of your work
rather than practice in too much isolation. Supervision can be both fun and
wonderfully enlightening.
Good luck and best wishes,
Joy Lucas RShom
