Bone ache- update
Bone ache- update
The patient has just phoned me to say that she feels so much better today
having taken 3 Eupat. 30 yesterday. She has nine of the expected bone ache
or sore skin that she usually has in the morning. However yesterday
afternoon she started with a fever, headache, chills and couldn't get warm.
This lasted the evening. This morning she feels a bit weak from the headache
yesterday.
She took one Eupat this morning. I have told her to stop the Eupat. and that
I will bring round some Nux Vom in case she gets that fever with the can't
get warm symptom. I am also thinking that if she is getting intermittent
fever I should be thinking of China.
Any comments appreciated!
Regards,
Rochelle

Re: Bone ache- update
Dear Rochelle, find out how she is in herself - irritable, clingy, wanting
to be alone, etc and get some modalities, locations, pain descriptions and
your choice will be so much easier. Take the full acute case again if you
feel that the Eupatorium has done all its work. Don't prescribe Nux Vom just
on a whim of its chill factors.

Hi Rochelle,
Sound's as if Eupat. is working just fine !!!!
Why interfering with Nux V. or China?
Are you afraid that the attack would be that severe?

Re: Bone ache- update
I have a question that always perplexes me. if we give a rx to a pt who does not exhibit some definitive
sx of the rx and then the pt develops those sx, how do we know that they arent proving the rx. this case seems to raise this question. so far, in this case, i dont see that the pt is feeling much better in terms of the bone aches they are being treated for. have i missed something?

Hi Tanya,
Is she feeling any better *over all*? Any improvement of mood or energy,
for e.g.? It is the *overall* improvement, or lack thereof -- changes at
deeper levels -- that you need to judge. if there are new sxs but the
patient's overall state is improved, then I would assume that the new sxs
are temporary, and cure is in progress; if you see new sxs but the patient
does not feel better in herself, then I would suspect a proving.

Dear Tanya,
Sorry this is my mis typing. She has NO bone pain or skin soreness today. I
have just been round there as she lives in my street. She had a slight
tenderness of the head from the headache last night and I used EFT to tap
that away completely. The chills started in the afternoon but it was at it's
worst with the headache at 10 pm. We will see how it goes today but I have
given her Nux to use if the chilliness where she couldn't get warm starts
again tonight. It may not of cause!! This is an acute problem not a chronic
and therefore I think I need to prescribe on what is there at the time.
I forgot to write in my initial post that she has a small patch of impetigo
on the top of her arm which she has caught from her kids who are now over
it!! Needless to say her kids were treated with Fucidin- a fungicide from
the allopathic Doctor!!! I am still waiting for her to bring the child with
eczema to me and that is why I am out to impress here and so far so good!!
Let's hope I have not spoken too soon!

Dear Jean and Jan,
There is no way I am interfering with the action of the remedy which has now
been stopped. I am just trying to keep one step ahead in case of possible
future scenarios!!

Re: Bone ache- update
yes, that has been my understanding. but in this case that rochelle presented, i did not see any improvement, only the development of the fever. that is why i asked the question.
