What would be a rubric for people not connecting the dots? It almost seems to
be like a religious connection to the allopathic doctors such as to their
religious leaders. They have faith in the doctors. They have trust and they
believe that they will be saved from death. I have the same irrational faith
in homeopathy to a degree that it will save me from dying in the end, in spite
of the fact that I do irrational acts of doing things I know are not good for
me..like eating cake every once in a while, like last night, and felt sick
this morning, and freaked out that Roger is psychic and was somehow watching
me eat that cake.
I know a woman who never vaccinated her children and she home-schooled her
children. She believes in herself and her ideas. She now has MS and refuses
to change her diet..she is blood type B and she eats a lot of chicken and she
won't give it up. I tried to get her to go to a homeopath...and it was
always...I'm going to try this medicine from the doctor first...In her fear
she reverted back to her parent's faith in doctors. Maybe the willfulness of
some people is what keeps them alive in spite of bad health decisions. Or a
love connection develops between the person and their illness.
I listened to a woman describe all her long list of ills several times and
realized while I was listening to her talk about them the second time that she
is proud of all her ills, they are like scars of a war she has survived, they
are her friends and in spite of being offered a homeopathic remedy by an
expert...she refused. I wish my abilities of perception matched up with a
knowledge of homeopathic remedies and I could slip remedies into people's
drinks. In the meantime, I think it is helpful just to acknowledge where
people are at and accept them, there must be some good in that.
connecting the dots...
Re: connecting the dots...
I am not psychic, but I am intuitive and experienced enough to know that death as the cessation of consciousness is an illusion. I don't know if my intuition and experience helps you or not; I hope so. I am in this for the pain avoidance and the financial necessity of continuing to support my family. I won't be able to support them very well from the other side.
And your observation about people loving their illnesses, that is so completely right on. And they would rather keep their illnesses than stop worshipping at the Altar of Modern Medicine.

Re: connecting the dots...
These are the people who are more afraid of change, or having to learn something new, than of death from illness.
It is a mistrust of self that is behind it.
