I stopped an infection of nercotizing fasciitis moments after having been bitten by a house spider that dropped down from the ceiling while I was sleeping. Brown Recluse isn't the only spider that caries the flesh-eating bacteria; many insects also carry it.

I noticed a raised nodule on my arm that looked like an inflamed zit. Following my morning shower it grew to the size of a quarter and was a suppurating grey lesion with deep red streaks extending radially outwards about two inches.

I immediately covered the site with several layers of toilet paper which I then saturated with tea tree oil and DMSO. After a few more minutes I added hydrogen peroxide which catalyzed the solution producing an intense heat that smoldered off of the pledget. The burning was intense but I left it applied for about two minutes. The result was a second degree erythema which lingered for several days. The infection was completely halted and the skin healed without any scarring. All destructive action by the bacteria was thus terminated.
