Yesterday, I was prepared for one more new exacerbation of my son's allergic rhinitis. Myself, and my two sons have this sx of scratching the roof the mouth with the tongue while sneezing. I had only recently figured it out and wyethia 30 was on hand. This is not in my Synthesis 7.2 version (printed) but this is in Radar as I know from a group discussion of a cured case in Ardavan's group (Ellen).
Yesterday he got a watery dose before going to bed once he complained of that burning throat which was always his beginning for this attack.
My son remarked today. " Throat is paining. Saliva is flowing out of mouth. I feel like biting my teeth. On questioning further , he said it somewhat ameliorated throat symptoms. The repertory did not have this, but internet search pointed to Syph and Phytolacca (Hering).
He was still in acute since a mild fever was still on, the saliva, all pointed out to Phyt (though syph also had all sx), I chose phyt. Fever came down, and after a mild breakfast, went to sleep.
Have any of you come across this symptom in your cases ?

Wythia is not a very common remedy. It is used commonly with rhinitus or athma type symptoms. You want to look at the other remedies in all caps and make sure you are not one of those.

Upper palate symptoms worse than nasal symptoms. Mouth is so dry that especially the back of the mouth is burning and dry.
The big keynote, is the itching of the upper palate, gums, back of the mouth (pharynx). As they scrape their throat they make an unpleasant noise. Like apis, the uvula is swollen, but the inside of the mouth is lighter colored and more shiny than apis. Wyethia looks rougher and darker. Both are itchy because of the swelling.
They may try to sip cool water to relieve the same dry burning swelling in the throat.
In the larynx and bronchi, the same phenomenon leads to an asthmatic cough. Usually the condition will not progress to the lungs. But they can develop asthma during hay fever.
Emotionally, they become anxious and jittery about their state. They dread what is coming next. Not as deep as Nat-m, but no one cares for them no one can help them. They are alone. They become sad and feel abandoned by family and friends. They may become irritable,
Gels eyes sinuses swell up, they become cloudy headed and cannot concentrate with causes irritation. Inside mouth, uvula swelling (apis shiney and white) raw and dark red.
Most hay fever remedies aggravate in morning and afternoon, but this one aggravates in the afternoon and early evening.
Should avoid dry foods and dry air. Even if they are not allergic to flowers, the pollen increases their allergic load.
