Ok. I sprayed it right away. (- I'm going to leave it for now, wait a bit and put the $26 an oz Manuka on it

I have saline salt...so wash w/that. Manuka... and later some cal lotion (not really lotion)...cal flowers fermenting in a carrier of glycerine. I used that watered down. I'll try it after letting manuka sit on it.

Rochelle... TY I have silver nevr used,,, and I'n using RAW PROPOLIS and BEE BREAD in 0ne of my water kefir recipes. I'll go put that in my mouth w/I do tbe manuka.

The other wonderful thing about honey for a cut, is that it will draw the edges of the wound together, speeds healing and reduces chance of scarring. The other thing to reduce bleeding, is to simply keep the finger above level of the heart (when practical). That makes a huge difference. Once bleeding is slow enough, do the honey bandage.

Also note that the *good* thing about free bleeding, is that it cleans the cut!

I have it. Used it one time. I prefer no suppressive things when healing. I used the calendula spray I make w/glycerin and covered it will w/manuka honey. Thanks...all suggestions were VERY helpful. It's swollen, only bleeding lightly and is covered w/Manuka. Swollen and bruised, but not as deep or bad as the bleeding indicated. Guess I have lots of good blood. Sipping arnica for bruising. NO PAIN still.
Ir seemeed deep at the beginning. It isn't. The honey has it all sealed up. I'll try to sleep w/THUMBS up. Now I have to figure out how to trim a pork roast up for dogs. you ever think abut then importance of the thumb. I'm not ambidextrous...FOR SURE.

Sorry about the cut.
Second person this week...weird...my friend just cut her finger very deeply while gardening.

Plain tincture of calendula (ie zero potency calendula) on gauze held on by pressure. This will stop any bleeding unless you sliced a large vessel right through - then you need it stitched.

Glass is unlikely to infect unless it was dirty, especially after a lot of bleeding.
But if the cut is deep you can use Hypericum for pain and tetanus prevention.
Calendla will prevent infection as well as stop bleeding as well as regranulate the skin.

I totally diagree, calendula can not be beaten here. It prevents infection, stops bleeding ad regranulates tissues.
Especially the bleeding prevention.
I have never seen that with calendula, just the oposite.
If there is already an infection before you start the calendula you may need higher potency calendula to beat infection, but tincture is best to stop bleeding.
