Earache after remedy dose interpretation

Post by healthinfo6 »

Someone who's been taking Calc Carb, now upto LM5, took a dose the other day.
On the 2nd day after, they had a severe earache.
They have not had an earache since childhood, they are now mid 50s.
I said this appears to be due to the remedy, it will pass, which it did in a day.
They felt it could be a sign of an impending vertigo episode, which they started having last year, I felt possible latent psora as a parent had vertigo. They have not had a vertigo attack after earache.
Would this be considered something coming to the surface, like a skin reaction to a remedy?
Should I look for an intercurrent remedy dose, here I have used Carcinosin, or remedy change?
They felt slightly better overall after the earache disappeared but not as good as previous doses.
Thanks for any insights!
Susan

Sounds like a retrace. I would wait or redose just a little sooner as she may have exhausted the energy of the remedy with that earache.
If you do feel the need for an inter current be sure to try to find a complementary remedy.

Thanks Maria!
Retrace is a much clearer term to use vs old stuff coming to the surface.
Wonderful concept of the energy of a dose being used during a retrace (primary action) leaving less energy available for the secondary curative action.
This explains feeling little improved after that dose.
Understanding this helps prevent going off in wrong directions like thinking a remedy has stopped working etc.
Not having previously read of this explanation, I'll call it Maria's Dosing Rule!
An additional way to evaluate dosing.
I also thought to reduce succussions to 4 since they have been using 6 with this LM and/or increase dose to full one teaspoon, they seem to prefer 1/2 teaspoon doses feeling one teaspoon has been too strong.
Or go to a 2nd dilution glass.
This person also had mumps when young, causing strabismus in one eye turning outward, corrected with surgery. Have to ask if earache was experienced at that time too.

Hi Susan. Clients are usually pretty good about adjusting their doses. Explain the principle and let them decide if more shakes or more from the dilution glass are needed. I tell them to only change one thing at a time and see how long the dose lasts, once that is known they can repeat the dosing and amount on a regular schedule. If the positive results slow you can have them increase the shakes. If it stops you may need a nosode to unlock the cad or to find a better or more perfect remedy.
Warmly, Maria.

Sorry, that was a type, sometimes when a case gets stuck you need to address the miasm to unlock things and then go back to the original remedy.

Oooooh autocorrect!!!!! If ever we needed an illustration of the fact that "the road to hell is paved with good ideas" (okay I *know* the actual phrase is "good intentions", same thing applies)…
