tongues

Post by Joy Lucas »

Dear Rochelle, when I read cracked (fissured) tongue, acne rosacea and
emotional feelings of neglect I begin to think of NITRIC ACID.

They are people who are constantly dissatisfied (perhaps you also feel this
after 24 visits!). Vithoulkas calls them "pests" - never pleased and hard to
be joyful about anything.

There is sluggish circulation and the fissures can be anywhere, but
especially on junctions of skin and mucous membranes, because the
elimination of waste products is not efficient and so the waste is
eliminated through the skin, hence acne rosacea and a badly cracked tongue.

They are actually very sensitive people and they can develop a deep feeling
of not being able to forgive, they become suspicious especially if they have
experienced some great disappointment in their lives - they constantly feel
threatened. But if they find support from someone they care a great deal
about that person - a mutual respect or lack of it sort of thing.

I will leave you to read up on this rx.

Best wishes, Joy

Hi Joy,
I really like the look of Nitric acid but can I really give it to a hot
person???? The whole essence of the remedy seems cold.

All the best,
Rochelle

Dear Rochelle, the information regarding thermals or temperature modalities
can be a problematic one. There are some remedies such as Arsenicum album
which is always always going to be chilly, even though it has burning pains.
Likewise Silicea is never ever going to be warm. One needs to look elsewhere
for other remedies when you get a case that really looks like ......... but
the temperatures contra-indicate.

Then there are the temperature modalities for specific parts which differ
from the general whole - take the arsenicum example again - so very chilly
but has burning pains. Generally >>> warmth but the head pains are >>> cold
applications. These must always be checked out and the knowledge of such
plays an important role in understanding individual remedies.

But there are many remedies which can be either / or and I would put Nitric
Acid into this category - especially if everything else fits one can put
vague temperature desires and aversion to one side - but you must be sure.

Clarke says of Nitric Acid - warmth and cold both warm feeling in eyes; winter mild weather.

So there isn't a really strong indication either way. Go over the case
carefully again and be more specific with temperature modalities. If you are
sure of the rx in other ways then you might want to proceed with it.

Best wishes, Joy
