Re: Tongues
Dear Jean,
Yes and didn't rate it because it was not in the rubric for rosacea.

Re: Tongues
Dear Allen,
She has had Sulphur. It was the first remedy I ever gave her . However I
suppose it wouldn;t hurt to give it another go sometime?
I have just given her Kali Iod to try at 30C as I did cure a rosacea case
with this a while back. I won't be seeing her again now until September.

Re: Tongues
I have looked at Ars. Iod and it just doesn't fit the case at all basically
because there are no discharges acrid or otherwise from the nose. She does
bring up stuff from her lungs and gets URTI with no cough (nothing like she
used to now) but that is not in the remedy. I have yet to find a good mental
picture of this remedy.

Re: Tongues
Hi Rochelle,
you may want to consider trying a different angle.
A red crack down the middle of the tongue and cracking elsewhere is termed a
geographic tongue and indicates connective tissue weakness.
Homeopathic tissue salts of Calc. fluor, with Sodium phos, potassium
sulphate and magnesium phospate with silica [available in combinations
probably 3 different tablets in all from Blackmore's] along with B vitamins
in particular niacin will help address both the cracking and the acne. I
would also consider giving her salmon oil for the DHA/EPA content. As the
cracking is also along the edge of the tongue which is the liver area, liver
drainage support such as St. Mary's thistle.
I haven't followed your case but nux-v has acne and also has anger and
cracking on the sides of the tongue
kindest regards

Re: Tongues
Dear Rochelle,
In such a case where: "she had been taking 8 various remedies in various
potencies 3 times a day for 5 years"
I have found Nux vom to be very useful to help clearing the case.
You might concider that, but than again....Nux vom is chilly and mostly very
tidy....
There is also Teucr m about which Clarke writes: When too much medicine has
produced an over-sensitive condition and remedies fail to act.
According to Clarke Teucr m < warmth.

Jan

Re: Tongues
She refuses to see another homeopath which I have begged her to do and my
supervisor unfortunately has died recently and there is no one else nearby.
There probably is metal in the mouth since she is 65 yrs old .

Re: Tongues
Rochelle - I have found many times that the potency choice will determine if
the chosen remedy works or not. Sometimes you just have to hang in until you
match the potency correctly. I'm sure you know how to judge that -
generally, give a low potency such as 6C, etc to person whose vital force is
weak or old; a midrange potency such as 30C, maybe 200C to your "average"
vital force and the higher potecies - 1M, etc to someone who is all
mental/emotional. Also, sometimes, one goes through a number of remedies
which change the person in ways that allow the first prescription to work
when you come back to it and try it again. One just has to observe, observe,
observe but, of course, we still can miss the key to the case, usually
obvious in retrospect. Always consider maintaining causes which would
require a change to be made in the person's life.

Re: Tongues
Hi Rochelle,
Oh, I know what "warm-blooded" means! But I've never known a rubric for it;
seems like there must be, tho, as it is as definite a "thing" as is chilly!
