Hello Homeopathy for CT friends:

It's time to contact your State Representative and Senator about our HB 5327: An Act Concerning the Provision of Services by Classical Homeopaths.

Find your Representative and Senator here: http://cga.ct.gov/asp/menu/cgafindleg.asp .

Our goal now is for each of you to contact your own two legislators to let them know you support this bill. It's important that you contact them - they care what their constituents think AND WE NEED THEIR VOTES. Also ask if they would co-sponsor our bill.

PLEASE send a short email or make a quick call to your Connecticut State Representative and Senator (NOT U.S. ones) using the link above. If you send an email, make sure to include "Please support Homeopathy (HB#5327)" in the subject line.

Whether you call or email, start by asking for their support of HB 5327 which allows those who have achieved the highest level of homeopathic education and training through national certification to be recognized to practice homeopathy in Connecticut.

Then personalize it a little by using any of these talking points:

§ Let them know that it is important for you to have access to well-trained homeopaths in Connecticut.

§ Explain what homeopathy means to you. How has it helped you, your family or friends?

§ The importance of choice. Why do you want the choice to seek homeopathy for you and your loved ones?

§ Homeopathy is a safe, affordable and gentle modality of health care. Describe how homeopathy has helped you or your family.

§ There is an increasing demand for more natural healthcare. Describe why homeopathy is important to you.

§ Access to homeopaths is limited in CT. There is an antiquated law from 1893 that says only medically trained people can practice homeopathy in CT, of which there are a very few. With so few homeopaths in CT, people either never hear about this option or must travel to another state to find a homeopath. Describe why this is an issue for you.

§ What we are proposing is to keep the bar high by allowing nationally board certified classical homeopaths (CCHs) to be able to offer their services in CT. The CCH is the highest level of achievement for a professional homeopathy and the credential is recognized worldwide. Explain how working with a trained, board certified homeopath would benefit and inspire confidence for you and your family.

If you are a certified homeopath (CCH), you may want to talk about the quality of your education, the important of setting a high standard, how the current law restricting the practice of homeopathy in CT affects you, and the importance of practicing in your own state and community.

If you are a MD, ND, chiropractor, acupuncturist, nurse or other licensed professional in CT, you may want to talk about the quality of education and standards met by certified classical homeopaths, the importance of choice, your experience working with homeopaths or providing homeopathic care and the complementary cooperative nature of alternative health care practices.

ALSO REMEMBER, we have an information session scheduled for Room 310 at the State Capitol (next door to the Legislative Office Building) TOMORROW on Tuesday, April 8 at 1pm to 2pm.

We are inviting ALL 187 legislators to come (and their aides and interns) and we would LOVE if you too would come to support this. At the same time, we'd encourage you to pay a visit to YOUR State Representative and Senator either before or after the meeting letting them know you support House Bill 5327 and hope they will too! If you can't make the session, encourage your State Representative and Senator to attend!

THANK YOU for your continued support!

To go to all this trouble to pass this bill…
It would have been better to do like CA and pass a Health Freedom Bill for all unlicensed practitioners.
At least the bill doesn’t try to define what Classical Homeopathy is.

That one pretects human but not animal practice.

The one in Idaho looks good but protects ONLY the person seeking homeoapathy, NOT the homeopath!

What point is there if no homeopath has any right to provide what you have a right to seek and use:-)
The real purpose of this and other socalled
"Health Freedom" legislation is to make a loophole for Obamacare, not to provide real health freedom.
