Just got this from my lawyer (re the hearing that was scheduled for this afternoon):

So, what, in heavens sake, does that mean, "granting summary judgment to
the Program"?

I have 30 days from today in which to appeal to Superior Court.
It costs about $50,000, which I do not have.
The actual order will arrive Tues (snailmail), and is expected to force me to stop homeopathy, take down my website and pay exhorbitant fines. ($1000 a day).

This is a disaster for you, Irene, homeopathy and all holistic protocols!
How to raise the money to fight this? This is why homeopathy needs to be
so much better organized. This is why all holistic practitioners need to work
collaboratively to prevent and fight this assault.
The system has been used against even mainstream people who step outside
the pale. Thinking of this MD who lost his license because he supported home
births. He was very well supported by the community (my county) but it did no
good. Thinking about this Canadian vet who also lost his medical standing for
his promotion of natural healing protocols to his patients.
I am so frustrated and angry for you Irene.

How can you lose to a 'program'? What did they try you on? Something doesn't fit here.
If you were tried on not acting like an approved licensed veterinarian. Then you might lose to the program. But by what right were you challenged by a program?
Sounds like a technicality sued you.

Gosh this is terrible. How can this happen in a civilised country that a person is found guilty without being able to see a judge and jury? Re there any homeopaths out there who used to be lawyers and can help you? $50,000 is a lot of money . I also wouldn’t be able to find sum like this. I am sooo sorry for you Irene and just don’t know what to suggest you do now. Any chance you can get this into the media and then maybe a rich benefactor who has had homeopathy may help?

Rochelle, have you not heard of the European Arrest Warrant? You can now be convicted and sentenced without going to trial - and it applies to this country, the UK!.

Irene, I am so sorry about this. I wish I was a lawyer or knew one to help fight this injustice! I did however read that the reason why many doctors can get away with doing what they do is that if someone complains about their practice the accuser can be sued for the restraint of trade - a legal term that basically means that accuser is trying to eliminate competition in the field. Can restrain of trade be applied in your case?
So sorry for the state where people can not even help pets to live happily!

I shall shake all the apple trees I can find till an apple falls out. THat price is with a lawyer, I'll do it pro se (representing myself) but would like to have SOME legal advice too. I need to wait till Tues or when the written judgement from Judge Dixon and its actual wording and consequences arrive, to know exactly where I stand. Meanting I am looking up how to file an appeal in Superior Court, and not sleeping much:-)

The media sounds good to me thanks. I think people need to know what is happening behind the scenes, it's appalling.
