Dear JR Benneth, Thank you for sharing this press release. I'd like to state a few facts related to it if I may. I love homeopathy as much as the rest of us but I believe all homeopaths need to have the truth about what is going on in our profession. This helps us make realistic decisions about our careers. For your information, unfortunately, the truth is AMCH does not currently have a doctoral program in operation. The first class was ended mid-course a couple years ago due to lack of funds. Most of the students were allowed to start on promises to pay but those funds never materialized. All students were refunded their tuition and the doctoral program was closed. Also AMCH has not been able to obtain certification. The last body they tried to certify under required literally 10,000 pages of documentation and then turned them down flat. AMCH is currently downsizing this month to half size for the very small 3 year program for 3 days a month for basic
training that AMCH and its forerunner has operated since the late 1990's. This is an excellent program and available online. The doctoral program was limited by the Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine Examiners (MDs certified by the board as MDH) to being below the level of a nurse practitioner in Arizona. The graduates will only be allowed to practice homeopathy and will have no prescriptive or surgical rights and other limitations as determined by the above mentioned homeopathic medical board such as they are not supposed to treat cancer and the like. I do hope and pray that AMCH will obtain certification and get their doctoral program up and running in the future and that the homeopathic medical board will loosen up on the practice restrictions they have implemented.
