Prophylactic/support for DVT?
Re: Prophylactic/support for DVT?
Hi Shannon,
I think for the heart problem your patient needs Crateagus and for the DVT -
to aid thinning of the blood- Ginkgo. Both in Herbal Tinctures and unlike
homeopathy you can mix them!

Re: Prophylactic/support for DVT?
Dear Rochelle and Shannon,
Gingko is contraindicated if the pt. is taking Warfarin for the DVT (which
does nothing for the clot but prevents further growth of it. Once a clot has
formed it has a life of its own). Kali mur has been known to fix clots.

Re: Prophylactic/support for DVT?
Sorry not quite sure what u mean be 'fixing' the clot? Do u mean that it
remains as a clot & if so, does it then still pose the same threat of
breaking off & travelling to the brain?
thanx
