Dog with chronic ear problem

Post by Maria Bohle »

I wrote our group about this problem with a dog/coyote mix I rescued years ago.

He has had chronic ear problems for many years, tried repping him out numerous times and gave the indicated homeopathic remedies, I had to revert to antibiotics as nothing but the antibiotics seemed to work.

One of our minutus participants told me to consider colostrum to boost his nutrition she said that often helped.

So, here is what I did.

Cleaned the ear out again, dried it the best I could. Got colostrum (from the feed store), and started putting it on his normal feed.

Also got a tube of Animax - some kind of (greatly expensive) ear antibiotic that has been the only thing that had worked to date.

Put in the antibiotic in his ear, fed him about a teaspoon of colostrum daily, AND found a protocol for discharging ears in the Patterson book on Bowel Nosodes: silica 30C, Gaert 30C and Sicica 30C.

So, he got those remedies, I gave silica waited a day or so gave Gaert, and then Silica again.

Dog's ears are perfect! Yes, Perfect!!!!

Every other time I have use the Animax antibiotic I have had to continue it, the ears were better, but the minute I stopped using the antibiotics the ears would revert back again. Not this time, I have not had to redose the remedies, and it has been weeks and he has not needed the antibiotic, because he was nutritionally deprived probably before birth, have kept up now and again with the colostrum supplement.

Thank you all for your thoughts and help with this situation. He looks like a different animal.

Homeoapthy and some good nutrition won again.

Warmly, Maria

That's great, Maria! I would observe carefully and pursue treatment with whatever you determine to be his chronic simillimum. The ears are just one possible manifestation of his inner state, and you want to be sure you have addressed that state and not just taken a swipe at the ear problem. The simultaneous use of the antibiotic may cloud the picture.

Doing a happy dance! I know that colostrum is a band aid, but it sure helps while homeopathy heals.
