Homeopathic Web page an Insult to the Profession

Post by jdurfeeathome »

Don't know how I missed this! Go to: www.localcomputermart.com/dave
and SEE FOR YOURSELF.

Is he not a credit to homeopathy? Such creative advertising! ; )) : ) )
; ) )

I hope all those in the medical profession around the world including such
conservative nations such as India, Pakistan, Iran and a multitude of others
who visit homeopathy sites do not come to expect such personal communication.
Certainly we will all become the laughing stock in the alternative health
care arena.

Can you imagine the uproar if female homeopaths took to advertising in their
bathing suits or less?

Dear Dr. Shahrdar,

I'm sure that we all realize that Minitus is not responsible for the content
of web pages that are offered on this site from the various correspondents.
Thereforit is to each of us to be aware of the integrity and quality of the
correspondents that write here and be aware of what they promote and how they
promote themselves through the minimal resources given.

Some correspondents project themselves to be the best in authority. We must
all take the time to observe what little information is brought to us so that
we can determine for ourselves integrity, compassion and level headness and
intent.

To Barbara,

Chris,

I would write you privately, but you do not provide you address.
i think that is what is at the heart of the problem--an arrogant and critical person who
says hurtful things and has raised righteous indignation amongst many and wont look at himself

Okay, so Dave's posts are sometimes excessive. But if one wants to
correct e.g. bad manners and intolerance,
is it useful or appropriate to do it in a way that is bad-mannered and
intolerant?

Providing counterpoint to a point of view you find in error is very
appropriate -- but personal attacks (e.g. scathing
remarks about someone's personal website) are *waaaaaaaaay* off-base,
out-of-line, against the stated purpose of the list, against the stated
desires of the list "owner", and also stunningly immature and
unprofessional. Can we just get over it, remember what we're *here*
for, and move on?

(PS, the sender's address is displayed in the To/From line of the
message you receive from the list.)

Those who expect credibility while involved in health care, politics and
other professions that influence others, must examine how they present
themselves to the world, and consider the image they are presenting. Does
it further the profession or not? Is it good for the whole? Is it good for
my individual professional endeavors?

Homeopaths usually pride themselves on treating the whole person. Likewise,
practitioners should also consider their obligation to the practice and
philosophy as a whole.

At the same time, radical thinking is often accomplished by non-conformists
who provide astonishing break-through accomplishments in science and other
fields.

There is untold knowledge in the discussion at hand.

Personally, I try to revise once and hold pointed comments at least 24
hours.

I'll leave you with a quote... I think it was Schuessler...

“The Relief of human suffering is a noble cause and those who labor in this
cause are truly deserving of the gratitude of their fellows.”
