Homeopathy and me

Post by Roger B »

Dear Y'all,

I want y'all to know that I didn't just discover homeopathy and the Bach Flower Remedies and now I am all excited about them. I may have rediscovered them, and I may have a renewed enthusiasm for them, but I did not just discover them.

Upon the direct advice (over the telephone) of Murshida Ivy O. Duce, the spiritual leader of Sufism Re-Oriented at the time, I went to my first homeopath in 1969 or 1970. The doctor was 96 years old but looked 66 and was as spry as 36. He gave me some homeopathic gold. I was totally clueless about homeopathy, so if he told me the potency I didn't remember. I also didn't go back. It worked very quickly, and I was jumping for joy by the time I got out in front of that huge mall near San Francisco State University. Homeopathy has worked many times for me and my family since then. My only regret with regard to homeopathy is that I did not attend to it much more closely and perhaps even become a homeopath.

A year or so later I was talking to a fellow devotee of Meher Baba telling him about my experience with homeopathy. And he turned me on to the Bach Flower Remedies. He was a hippy Baba Lover who lived in a pad and slept on a mattress. He eventually became a chiropractor so that he could heal, and I am sure that he uses BFR in his practice. He was sort of a natural healer, but when I saw him he was a drug-free hippy who loved God. And the remedy that he gave me worked IMMEDIATELY. I could almost see the "demon" or ugly thoughts that were plaguing me pop out of my head and run down the hallway. That is how tangible the experience was for me. And since then I have used the BFR and remedies from the Flower Essence Society many times.

I tell you with all of the authority that I can muster that homeopathy and Flower Remedies work. The power of suggestion does not last for 43 years.

Sincerely,
Roger Bird

I agree with you.
Power of suggestion does not impress animals either.

Oh, power of suggestion works great with dogs. I tell my dogs that they are wonderful and precious and the greatest hunters on the world and sweet and precious. And it works!!! Trust me.

But I can't seem to hypnotize them into not peeing on the rug. (:->)

I'll take your word for it, it's been some years since I had dogs:-)
I have cats and - they do not need to be told!
They KNOW.
:-)
Hmmm....if I want the cats to come in for the night (from the mesh-enclosed porch), I just say "Come Inside" and they all cheerfully rush indoors. Well maybe not always cheerfully. A grump from Gyda sometimes. But they come in.

Here's what works for cats:
If one cat does not follow the house rules, the other cats all get "treats for good kitties".
Works like magic :-)

Sometimes they are all good for too long and need to ask for treats, and often will get some when asking.
Fair's fair. Gyda can make quite a speech to justify how many treats etc....

We have a great relationship and mutual respect for each others' rules. (I respect their hierarchy etc).

For your dogs:
Tinfoil on the rug will be deterrent, plus BFR to develop new good habits. (They do not like to get their feet in it.)
Perhaps:
Chestnut Bud to help break the bad habit. (Not helpful on cats with bad habits. Cats are not automatic pleasers like dogs. Cats need Rock Water for flexibility of attitude instead, but Chestnut Bud works for dogs.)
Wild Oat - for better attitude in future.
Crab Apple - for cleaner habits.
plus whatever personality BFR matches best.
(examples: Nervous piddling Impatiens; lack of will power Centaury; lack of confidence Cerrato; holding it in too long Agrimony, hyperactive Vervain, and so forth.)

Um - This is NOT medical advice. It is an example of what can be done with BFRs by owners of pets, if they wish.

Namaste,
Irene
