for those who forget to floss or whatever excuse you have, i have found taht keeping a pack of those plastic tooth pick with floss at one end in my car works great. you can get a pack of fifty at the dollar store and i just floss while going here and there. i end up flossing more than ever since i have nothing better to do. yes, people will look at you funny but who cares, i also keep tooth brush and paste in the car as well.
another good rinse is coconut oil. you are suppose to rinse and hold in mouth for fifteen mins or more so it takes some effort. google it.

Are you flossing after each meal? My dentist always emphasizes flossing.
Good luck!

Hi Tamara,
I see H202 listed in many household cleaning applications, but how do you know it is safe to ingest. I mean the H202.
Best,
Ellen

H2O2 is water = H2O with an extra O = Oxygen so it is quite safe. The way it works is that the Oxygen comes off and you are left with water!!

Re: Dental advice needed
To keep everyone up to date I have been to the dentist this morning and the roots of the tooth were clean when the temporary filling was removed. (Maybe the Pyrogen worked!!) He has now opened up the root channels more , cleaned with peroxide etc. again and filled the roots with a rubber stuff and put a filling on top. If it settles OK he will put a crown on in 2 months. Am pleased I have DenPlan as wouldn’t have been able to afford that lot!!! If it doesn’t settle I presume he will then take it out. Am all numbed up at the moment but will take an Arnica 200 right now before I go to my Spin class!!

First, how do you know anything is safe to ingest?
Depends on how well you trust the source of the info.
Second, you are not ingesting it. It was described as a mouth
wash that you spit out.
Third, the body will actually mftr H2O2. It is a chemical involved
in our hair turning grey. Can’t remember where I read that a few yrs ago.

Re: Dental advice needed
H2O2 is not safe in terms of life. It kills, disinfects, both good and bad. it is not for ingesting. It is a great cleaner. a safe cleaner as far as residue left on surface of counter, floor etc...
if you let it sit exposed to light then it will degrade into H2O which is water but that extra O makes a big difference in safety for life. You use it to clean wounds but sometimes you see on the internet to add to baths or overall body cleansing but i would not recommend that since it is like an antibiotic. it kills all good and bad bacteria and just like your gut you have good and bad and if you kill all bacteria on your skin then you offer the bad bacteria a clean slate to take over ownership. they can build up numbers and keep the good bacteria from repopulating. this is why antibacterial soaps and hand sanitizers have been proven harmful with regular use. just like antibiotics for your gut. you have to take probiotics so the good bacteria can repopulate before the bad bacteria takes over.
coconut oil is much safer since it doesn't kill off good bacteria. but you do spit it out after rinsing. if you want really white clean teeth brush with baking soda and rinse with h2o2 but not an ever day thing. and dont let it sit in your mouth.

Re: Dental advice needed
it is a great disinfectant but me personally, i wouldnt do it everyday just because it disrupts the natural order of a healthy mouth. if i had a gum infection or other mouth soar i would do that multiple times a day till it healed up. thats just my own personal take on maintaining a healthy state for the good bacteria to thrive and do their job. healthy food and healthy immune system to me equals healthy bio balance and nature/body does what it suppose to. maintain health.
if it is working for you keep doing it.
i have bee hives and what i have learned from them is that a lot of this colony collapse disorder mumbo is just beekeepers are now taught to treat for this and that with chemicals inside the hive and antibiotics etc.... i have found this STUPID. bees have been here millions of years without our "help". its all the chemicals and genetically modified plants that is doing them in. dont go adding more artificial crap into the mix that was never found in the hives in nature. a hive acts as a super organism with a balance of good and bad and as long as you dont throw off that balance, nature keeps itself healthy.
just like the garden. spray insecticide to kill aphids then you kill the ladybug. we must learn to follow natures way.
just my two cents
