My insurance used to pay for my homeopathic MD...it is just a matter of
putting in certain diagnostic numbers in there for what you are treating. He
didn't have to mention homeopathy at all. But he was old school. He had no
qualms about slipping a different remedy every month into an alcoholic
husband's water or beer or whatever(he wouldn't go to the doctor himself..his
wife slipped the remedies in his drink)...until he hit on the one that made
him lose interest in alcohol. I think he used 3 remedies before he got it
right. He also gave a mother a remedy to put in her son's coke when she
couldn't get him to come to doctor as well. I'm sure this doctor is on the
other side now so I don't think he'll get in any trouble. But I find it
interesting that he didn't think the remedy would be antidoted by putting in
these drinks. He also was a stickler for any water potency to use a bit of
alcohol in there. I asked why and he said very strongly...."Because that is
the way that it is done!" But he didn't use water potencies himself....if he
thought it was the right remedy...he gave 200c, lM and then 10M..within 12
hours of each other. I never had an aggravation. But when I take a 30c alone,
or a 200c alone nowadays....always have aggravations. When he retired he gave
me my whole families medical charts but I can't understand his handwriting so
I can't learn anything from those charts. He was a trip.

But did he list doing homeopathy when he billed the insurance co?
Most insurance companies, at least in NY will pay for homeopathy or
any other care under No Fault if the practitioner is licensed in NY. But
they won’t cover the same holistic protocols under regular medical
insurance.
