The aversion(ability)/desire to eat snails might devide the entire MM
into two eliminating groups.. ;-)

Traditional Dutch raw pickled herrings; you are supposed to grasp one by the tail, open a big mouth with your head thrown backward and eat the whole thing in one go....never mastered that art....then I am not Dutch either.

It tastes fabulous, salivating right now.......

Since BOTH are invented and defined by Hahnemann, specifically to refer to the system he developed using the law of similars, I can see no way to suggest any confusion.

It's not like the words have ANY other origin!

I suggest you change to using the words Natural or naturopathic for substances NOT geared to invoking the Law of Similars.....as that is reserved for Law of SImilars Homeopathic applications, by definition.
In fact when Hahnemann coned the word, he used roots that specify similars and suffering.
Homoeio = similar
Pathos = suffering.

NOT
Mixtures Suffering which might be Mixopathy.

We do not get to redefine a word specifically devised to describe a specific thing - the effect of the Law of similars - just to make more money at the expense of the integrity of the homeopathic system that DOES use the Law of Similars and refers to it in the very words homeopathy, and homeopathic.
No it is not the philosophy of one man. Hahnemann *enhanced* what was already KNOWN since Hippocrates' time in 400BC - The Law of SImilars.
What Hahnemann did was to add in the potency options, the provings and the system of using that principle. A huge body of work yes.
He NAMED the system after that principle but he did not invent the principle - it's always been there - It is a Law of Nature as much as Gravity is a law of nature.
Hippocrates is the earliest person I can find who actually documented the Law of SImilars, based on his observing it in nature as the way nature works. Many others documented it before Hahnemann added his work to make better use of the principle of the Law of Similars.

SO it is not true that

In fact Homeopathy is not a philosophy, any more than gravity is a philosophy. It's an implementation of a Law of Nature.

Namaste,
Irene

I believe that a remedy can antidote if it is not a good enough match.
A really god match will not antidote.
I see an antidote effect as a sign to go back and do over:-)

That is because it fails to honor the Law of Similars.
It is NOT the Law of EXACTS!

However if you use a SIMILAR nosode - it does work.
Examples:

TB (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) to prevent Leoprosy (Mycobacterium Leprae).
Bordetella bronchiseptica (kennel cough) to prevent Bordetella pertussis (whooping cough)
1996 cat flu to prevent 2013 cat flu.
Cowpox to prevent smallpox.
FIV (Feline Aids) to prevent HIV (Human aids) or SIV (Simian aids)
etc.

You cannot use smallpox to prevent smallpox, or TB to prevent TB etc. They wold be identicals and fail the natural principle by which homeopathy works - the Law of *Similars*

This is what the mixopathists also do not get!

Irene

Well, I made a successful repellant for the local Western Yellowjackets. I did it becasuer i am seriously allergic top the critter's venom and they are fond of my place as a major hangout.

I captured a specimen and ground it in sugar for an hour (1C)
Grond some of that with 99 parts sugar to get 2C.
Repeat for 3C by which time I was feeling as if i was being attacked and stung all over. (I had tried to corral the powder under saran wrap and worked through it but clearly some got out.

I then went to liquid dilutions, and took it to 9C.
I also had Staphisagria 9C (to boost my need to quit being freaked out y them and increase my confidence.)
I sprayed both all round myself, separately and then together - and found I needed a LOT and to apply it often as the wind blew it away. But I persisted, and somehow I have not been attacked or afraid of t hem for some years since then.

I do have to say I got "stung" all over in decreasing amounts for months after making it, (felt like stings in specific but random spots - an aggravation) even though I took a little of each potency on the way to 9C.
As a preventive remedy it was great! After a LOT of use.

Namaste,
Irene

It is easier to just sink a few empty tin cans into the ground to have the top level with ground level, add some beer, and empty the inebriated drowned snails regularly. It's the best use for beer I can find :-)

If they are fresh enough you can dine on escargot.
A two for one!

The trick is that the first time you eat snails you order "Hunter's Stew".
This was the signature dish at a good Restaurant in Cape Town so I ordered it.
WHich is a wonderful tasty dish. Nothing nicer, and I asked the chef what was in it afterwards - snails.
I've been an avid fan ever since, garlic butter is all they need.

The idea of slime is like expecting steak to be slime, Just ain't so.
