TRIGGER FINGER. -- please help

Post by Homdocs »

Hi,

A person has sprained his thumb in his left hand 3 weeks ago in the evening.

That same night he woke up from sleep with a Trigger finger.

Since then he used Ruta and Rhus tox. Which were very much indicated (worse sleep, better warmth etc.) but did not help much.

Any suggestions on treatment of Trigger finger, tips or info -- will be highly appreciated.

TIA

Rafy

I sprained by toe against a metal leg of a chair and tried ruta..nothing
happened. 3 weeks later I tried ruta again and it worked within 30 seconds.

perhaps you needed to begin with arnica to remove the shock and then
the ruta. and perhaps at is worst you potency was way too low.

Hi, Rafy
Years ago I cured a case of Dupuytren's contracture with Causticum. Not the same as trigger finger, I realize, but another of those problems thought to be linked to repetitive motion injuries. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of info out there on trigger finger, but basically it involves inflammation and swelling of the flexor tendon. So look to remedies prominent for tendonitis -- 84 according to MacRep.
Silica looks interesting: it tends to contractures of the flexor tendons.
Peace,
Dale

You could also look at Tissue Salts for some biochemic support for the tendons, always useful for this type of injury? Specifically, Calc Fluor &/or Silica.

Hi,

Many thanks to everyone who helped me with their kind replies.

This problem is rarely mentioned in the homeopathic literature (why ??), and I would like to inform you that I have just found it mentioned (with remefies) in Luc De Schepperd's book "Musculoskeletal" in page 117.

Regards
