Ah, it worked. I downloaded the free Amazon Kindle for PC. It was a bit back and forthing, but
it did it and the book downloaded quickly.
Problems that I had concerned the country and billing address which had to be checked off even
tho it is free.

Ah, easier than I thought!

I realized I had better "purchase" it now, even though I had not yet downloaded the App, and it downloaded and then kicked me onto "Amazon Cloud Reader", where I was able to -- ta da -- read on my computer! I'm on a Mac, don't know if Cloud is a Mac thing or not.
