This type of bioilluminesence light is used for newer dental screenings for oral cancer, on the rise, said to be due to HPV and also from tobacco smoking/chewing.. It can detect abnormal cells in mouth at very early stage, which will show a different color under the light, then need to be biopsied for cancer.

Turns out the CFL, compact fluorescent lightbulbs being forcibly used to replace incandescent in the USA have mercury and can cause cancer and UVA/UVB sunburns. I"ve been stockpiling my favorite incandescent 50/100/150 3-way and 100 watt which will be unavailable in a year or two.
