Dear Jane,
Thank you for presenting this case. I am sure with our combined energy we can agree on the remedy for this lady. However, my general comment is that you need to cover more of her totality to be sure of your selection.
How did you come up with Zinc please? Did you repertorise?
My Questions/Comments are shown in RED below. Rubrics in Blue
Need more mental symptoms and general symptoms.
Check that she is eating a balanced diet and drinks plenty of water.
IMPORTAMTLY Pls check that she is not taking any aspartame as sweetener in her food and drink (diet foods and drinks and reduces/no-sugar products, chewing gum.).
My rubrics are from Synthesis 7.

Dear Jane,
I have made replying to you my first task for the day.
If this was my pt one of the first things I would do is get her OFF aspartame. TOTALLY. (She may even suffer withdrawal symptoms as aspartame is addictive!) I am glad you have done some work on this already. Please really press it home.
Please visit www.dorway.com and wonder how the world's population is being poisoned by aspartame.
I would then wait a cycle (without aspartame) and to see what symptoms develops or change.
Is she thin or fat? (My bet is that with the aspartame she is taking she is Fat! (Aspartame actually makes one put on weight!!))
Get her off Coffee too.
Get her to drink at least 2 litres of water a day. (Tell her you are going to prescribe a very expensive medicine and that her health depends on it. That she should take it every day of her life without fail. Then tell her it is water! (not tea, not coffee, but pure water on its own!)
Based on your answers you have lots of symptoms, you have FEAR and Anxiety etc. to work on.
Does she talk a lot?
Can she tolerate tight clothing?
Is she a bossy woman? If so take dictatorial as a rubric.
What kind of a person is she? How would she describe herself and how would her best friend describe her?
What are her period pains like?
Any particular sensations around the body?
Synthesis is a large repertory which if you are going to do serious homeopathy you will need to get eventually. But use your KENT.
The first hurdle for a homeopath is good case taking - the second is good case analysis and finally good repertorisation.
You won't get it over night, but you are making a good start.
My advise is that ALWAYS repertorise - even when you think you know the remedy. The repertory has a good surprise waiting for you!
Think what is her most serious symptom set (FEAR/ANXIETY) etc
Find the rubrics and then see which are the common remedies in the first two most important rubrics.
Then take these and see what remains when you take the third rubric.
Continue until you are left with two.
Then check with your materia medica.
Good healing Jane and let us know how you get on.

Hi,

Yes! Always repertorise.

Soroush Ebrahimi is one of my dearest friends and I
have learned a lot from him. I remember near 5 years
ago when Soroush was visiting Iran. We together went
to visit a patient (a 60 y/o man). After the complete
casetaking and repertorizing we looked at each other
and said 'What a typical Lycopodium!!!' but we decided
to repertorise the case carefully. The result -
Pulsatilla!!!!!! Lyc was knocked out in the middle of
reping. We shaked hands and promised for ever not to
say a typical.... without repertorising.

Best,

Ardavan

Saroush Ebrahimi and Ardavan Shahrdar.
Thank you so much for the good advice,
I will take it to heart and I will reportize and not jump to conclusions.
I 've made it my first rule.

Dear Jane
Thank you for your kind words.
Another point you need to be aware of is the method of contraception used. My great teacher Sheilagh Creasy point blank refuses to treat any woman on the birth control pill or HRT.
Messing about with someone's hormones is such a deep acting menace that the only way around it is to remove it.
One of the contributors - in the case of the epileptic girl, mentioned that such drugs should be withdrawn slowly but did not elaborate. For epilepsy, the medics will say remove half a tablet per week.
However, Sheilagh Creasy with her wisdom and experience of 50 years+ in homeopathy recommends that tablets should be filed down. So using a clean (kept for the purpose nail file) you grind one pass on day one and add one pass per day until the tablet is finished. This slowly allows the vital force to drop its artificial crutches (which in effect are damaging it.)
This treatment applies to anti epileptic drugs, heart (BP) drugs etc etc. Any drug that is directly affecting the continued life or stability of the patient must be treated in this way.
Good Healing
Soroush
