Lisa Samet is a wonderful homeopath. Both my husband and I used her extensively, years ago. She is married to Andre Saine, who is purportedly one of the great classical homeopaths of our time. They live in Montreal, Canada.

As a former patient of Andre Saine, I wouldn't doubt his dedication to uphold classical homeopathy and case taking, he took 4 hours on my in-person visit. Unfotunately, he doesn't believe in LMs, considers them too weak, nor 6th Organon, is 4th and somewhat 5th Organon practicing, at least 10+ years ago. He didn't follow what I now know is the correct method for split water dosing and instructions rather saying to keep diluting the remedy in a gallon of water. The primary remedy he chose for me at the time turned out to be palliative and the 2nd remedy he had chosen, both were given to me at initial visit to have, is currently my constitutional anti-psoric. Since he uses grafted Dunham C potencies, which are considered quite strong, having been succussed on farm mill equipment, the 2nd correct remedy caused severe aggravations, possibly due to the way it is made. Thus was told never to take it again, which turned out to be wrong advice. Andre also wrote in one of his lecture notes Method books that using nosodes is unnecessary if you are a good homeopath, more wrong advice.
So while I would advise a new patient to see him, if they can get an appt which may be a year wait, this is an example of a wonderful dedicated homeopath with great pride who, at the time, stayed stuck in more 4th Organon prescribing using old style strong remedy potency not evolving as Hahnemann did to more gentler lasting methods for chronic diseases.
Truly an example of having the right remedy, eventually, but the wrong potency/dosing style, thus not getting the results thus abandoning a similimum, which wasted many years getting back to it and the proper potency/dosing method to match the disease. To be fair, at the time, I wasn't yet fully diabetic so presented myself in a pre-disease state and was in different physical shape, so I can see how he chose his primary remedy based more on mentals ignoring the more obvious physical. That is a judgment call that makes homeopathy an art besides a science.

Did get to watch the program.
It was better than one he did a while ago which infuriated me.
His focus was strictly on acutes and he brought on MDs who used
combo remedies and multiple remedy injections which horrified me.
He clearly did not have to select that kind of a practitioner for the show.
But it certainly could have been worse.

remedy injections? like the traumeel stuff that orthopedic docs are doing? He mentioned that on one show before.

I guess producers get to spin it any way they want. That is too bad. :(

Overall, despite the injections, combos mentioned at least Dr. Oz presents homeopathy in a postive light vs. some strange method to try instead of "traditional" allopathic meds. He doesn't seem to question and attempt to undermine the worthiness of the alternative method he presents.
It is because of the Rolanda TV talk show years ago, that had a classical homeopath on, which stirred me to make an appointment and begin my historic journey into homeopathy.

Possibly someone watching Dr. Oz may do the same thing, hopefully w/o the flu shot he recommends! ;)

agreed Susan...it's like purchasing a new car you have never seen in your life and all of sudden they appear everywhere. Once someone has a interest it may lead them to some profound healing.

All the best~

For anyone who missed Dr. Oz's show, featuring Lisa Samet, on homeopathy, here are links to segments of that show:

Regarding Andre Saine's methods, I cannot comment because we have not been treated by him. Although, I do remember reading somewhere that he is a very dedicated follower of Lippe.

Lisa Samet did very good work with both my husband and myself when we were going to her. We will both be going to her again, I'm sure. She is very dedicated and knowledgeable. Also very easy to talk to.
