Nephrotic Syndrome

Hi friends,

we had finished level 1 shahrdar cases(simple cases)on wikispaces.
This course is immensely helping all members in our chronic cases and in applying miasmatic theory in our practice.
I want to share this case of nephrotic syndrome of child aged 4 yrs, solved with the help of RV Miasms-

The complaints started with sore throat and cough in morning since 3 weeks, very harsh cough with pain in throat.
After few days he had pain while urination. Stool loose sometimes.
Then he developed edema around eyes and face with difficulty in breathing.
He became very irritable and difficult to manage.
He was referred to nephrologist and lots of test were done. Dr said liquid has accumulated in his stomach, legs, scrotum and lungs.
PAST HISTORY-
Uricaria in past . Egg or some chocolates, causes allergy.
Fever on and off in past
Blisters in mouth
Colic with loose motions
Sore throat and cough in between.

During this time he was given first cina, spongia, then bromium, then streptocccin but no relief by other homeopath.
INVESTIGATION=
USG abd- no significant abnormality
Heamatology-NAD
ALBUMIN-22
URINE-prptein-3
ASO Titre negative.

FAMILY HISTORY
Tuberculosis - Maternal Grandmother died by TB
Father : One kidney removed because of hydro nephrosis at the age of 12 years

Thermals
Does not like cold air, cold season, snow, nose also gets closed.
Feels cold after drinking anything cold

One birth mark on the back (light greenish)
few warts on fingers which developed in last one year.

THE MIND:
     
Very impatient and hasty
Late talker, he is still not speaking long sentences of more than 3 words. Only his mother can understand his speech. He takes time to understand new things and when he does not learn quickly like other normal children, he become irritable.
Fears-Sudden noise(like fire alarms etc), thunderstorms, during fear comes close to mother or father
He is timid, shy, reserved and prefers to play alone.      
He collects everything and keeps....would wrap his toy in a handkerchief and keep somewhere and sleeps with many toys around him.

NEPHROLOGIST prescribed prednisolone and scared them against homeopathy and warmed them of legal action(pt is from canada).They started prednisolone which was to be tapered and stopped after 4 to 5 months but parents wanted homeopathy too as they feared relapse.

Child was on strict diet- no sodium, no sugar, no artifical food, using coconut oil for cooking and only organic foods.

As his ASO titer was negative so this was viral case.
I thought it to be LSSV as it covered cough, sore throat, proteinuria and edema.
But Dr Nader said its EBV. (Dr Nader="As Swelling is common in Nephrotic syndrome and the patient is not in one-sided state therefore I did not consider edema rubrics for the case".)
After starting steroid, his urinne alb was nil and no cold symp.
After repping-(RV rep AND COMPLETE REP)=First I tried phos 30- he had conjunctivits after it and i thought, its externalization of symp but it was not as his urine alb too raised then I gave sulp 30 but his urine albumin was raised again so it was stopped and after stopping remedy urine was back to normal. whenever he had colds in between there was rise in his urine alb.
Then again went into more details of his case and this time noticed his marked sensitivity to cold and choose hepar sulp which has 2 marks in EBV miasms list. After that, he was perfectly fine,no cold and his urine alb normal didnt rise.He went out for swimming and in snow also but ddint catch cold. All his diet restrictions were released.
I thought H.S has cleared his EBV miasm and now he requires his constitutional remedy for his delayed speech, growth and warts but told them to repeat again one more dose of H.S.200 after 15 days, but parents repeated for 3 days (once a day, in water with successions). After that, his speech improved very fast and now he is speaking fluently and clearly and mixing with everybody. No weakness, tiredness and irritability. Few days back all his warts on fingers too fell down. His slow comprehension has also improved a lot.

His GP most likely thinks he is in remission and it will return at a future date.
But then again, they think disease falls out of the air and just seems to hit some people, so why shouldn't it dissapear that way too. Or, he thinks his allomeds cured the case.
