Person overdosed and took 6 pills of Arnica 30C for 10 days, said didn't see my email instructions NOT to keep taking if improvement, etc.
2 weeks ago, she had bleeding as if during a period for one day. Arnica MM has uterine hemorrhage. I found out about this a couple of days later, told her NOT to take any more Arnica, get Vicks VapoRub and apply all over as Camphor antidotes Arnica. Turns out she had an operation, endometrial ablation, a few years ago after having heavy period bleeding. Has not had bleeding or period since that operation until proving Arnica and not since stopping and using Vicks VapoRub.
Now, almost a month after fall on back, says has 6 herniated disks causing pain along arm, shoulder.
3 disks were already herniated, 3 seem to be from this recent fall on back. Allopathic MDs say take pain killers, like Aleve, but needs operation. She also sees chiropractor which does help.
She's scared of bleeding again from Arnica, which say did help her and won't retake. I told her to take again once, not to repeat and wanted to move her to water dosing vs. repeat dry doses.
Any other remedies come to mind for herniated disks?

I'd say that the actual symptoms (including modalities etc.) should
point the way to the remedy (and that 'herniated disk' or 'hernia' as
such isn't valid as a symptom).

Re: Herniated Disks, Uterine Bleeding, Endometrial Ablation Was Slip and Fall on back
Thanks for the info, Dale.
Since the pain now is coming more from the herniated disks rather than from the fall on back, restarting Arnica may not be the way to go.
Interesting to note, about 60 pills of Arnica 30C caused uterine bleeding in a person who hasn't had a period in a few years due to endometrial ablation, a surgical procedure which causes scar tissue of the uterine lining., and she says is only beginning menopause. Not sure if this is considered a proving or return of an old symptom.
Possibly Arnica did some repairing of the scar tissue and now wondering if she will start having periods again.
Anyone want to hazard a guess?
The endometrium heals by scarring, which usually reduces or prevents uterine bleeding.
How Well It Works
Most women will have reduced menstrual flow following endometrial ablation. And up to half will stop having periods.
Younger women are less likely than older women to respond to endometrial ablation. After an endometrial ablation, younger women are more likely to continue to have periods and need a repeat procedure.

Susan, are you a student or a practicing homepath?

Hi Lu Ann,
I am a graduate of Jane Cichetti's Five Element School in the 1990s. She no longer teaches.
I've been seeing homeopaths since the 1990s and the past couple of years have seen three.
Each has contributed to my knowledge as each homeopath has unique prescribing styles and ideas for treatment. While not all have been the most positive experiences, even leaning from mistakes is valuable.
I'm currently practicing by treating myself and a few friends thus gaining more insight into homeopathy. For myself, not as much changing remedies already prescribed to me but varying how I take them. Through that I've gained much insight into potency, timing, dosage size, etc. More recently I've been exposed to miasmatic prescribing and learning more about miasms per Hahnemann and how nosodes work with their complementary remedies, intercurrents and am currently having some good progress with Tuberculinum and an antipsoric constitutional, alternating between the two.
Since I have 2 inherited chronic illnesses, the miasmatic approach is working much better than the usual repping for a remedy and expecting a full cure to materialize that I did the past 16 years.
That approach works well with illneses that seem to have a beginning and an end and/or a causative factor vs. inherited genetic ones that begin early in life in pre-disease states and evolve over time. What I'm finding is homeopathy can help assuage the progress and hopefully reverse the disease process or miasmatic progression. Unfortunately, one illness, diabetes, is progressing much faster than current homeopathic approaches are able to regress it, so I've went back and been more rigorous and focused on orthomolecular viitamin and herbal support having good success lowering blood sugar with Cinnamon and Tumeric extracts among the jazillion supplements I have tried over years.
I've also consulted with a surgeon for gastric bypass surgery as many have reversed diabetes immediately after the operation before any significant weight loss occurs. It's not a guarantee that will happen for me but it may be my only last resort. The operation takes 6 months to prep for so I've started to do that and in the meanwhile keep using and looking for further homeopathic guidance.

Is it proper to ask everyone to look at a new product in this forum?
I have something that may interest everyone.

As an update, I spoke with the person and now she's having her period again, but normal flow.
She is kind of upset because liked not having them after the endometrial ablation.
She is now perimenopause.
So, Arnica in high doses, at 30C, was able to UNDO an endometrial ablation.
She is still having overall back pain, seems muscular, moving around from lower to middle, etc, so having her restart Arnica in split water dosing. She says Arnica did help her.
I don't think the Arnica will reverse what it did and stop her period but we'll see, since it is now lower dosing.
