Homeopathic Study Trip to India
Immerse yourself in Kolkata Homeopathy

7th - 21st February 2013
In February 2013, the popular homeopathic study course with Dr Kalyan Bhattacharyea is taking place again.

Dr Kalyan Bhattacharyea and his brother Dr Dilip Bhattacharyea are renowned homeopaths and teachers with 35 years experience in full-time practice. They will be joined by the highly skilled diagnostitian Dr Kalishankar Bhattacharyea, and share with us their vast knowledge and experience. Their approach to practice is grounded in Hahnemann's Organon and classical teaching, applied to clinical practice.

The course will include a trip to a field clinic in the Sundarbans (world famous for its wild tiger population).

The course takes place in a beautiful village setting

We will be based in a village area, just outside Kolkata, where we will sit with the Dr's Bhattacharyeas in their clinics and continue theoretical and practical classes in their home overlooking the Ganges. There will be time off to visit Kolkata, shop etc.

This is a small course, with a maximum of 8 participants. The price includes all food, simple shared accommodation, classes and the trip to the Sundarbans, but not the flights to India. Our food will be prepared by gourmet Indian cook Mrs Purabi Das. This course will immerse you in Indian homeopathy and culture. You will gain confidence, knowledge and experiences that will enrich your life and practice for years to come. Fee £730

Optional extra! After the course, those who wish can stay on for a one/two day Indian cooking course, taught Mrs Purabi Das, whose delicious dishes delight the taste buds! (Cost £30/day, incl accommodation) Contact Angelika Metzger email metzang@aol.com phone 020 8830 6020
What people say

“The educational value of the trip was immeasurable. Kalyan and Dilip's knowledge was inspiring. The pathology lectures brought our book work from college to life and it was very rewarding to experience homeopathy as being an accepted part of everyone's daily life. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun - my sides literally ached from laughing!” Denise Ling - 3rd year student

Our lecturers were very generous with their time and knowledge and the work that they do in their clinics is awe inspiring. India is full of contrasts. Kolkata was exciting and noisy but the village was slow and calm..... We learned more than we thought would be possible but we also had a lot of fun and I can highly recommend the shopping! Jayne Jensell Bowen - 3rd year student

“Observing experienced Indian classical homeopaths at work, in India, is both humbling and inspiring. To see the results obtained from their fast, deeply insightful, patient prescribing is very encouraging, especially taking into account the number of people they see at each clinic. My own practice has benefitted greatly from what I've learned there.” Jane Parkin - Experienced homeopath and teacher

Even though I have been in practice and teaching for 19 years, my time in India last year was so amazing and inspiring that I am going again! What I found particularly uplifting, apart from the excellent classical teaching and research done by the Drs Bhattacheryea, was the fact that homeopathy seemed to be a well understood and popular therapy for all Indians, regardless of status or wealth. Even in the smallest villages there was a respectful acknowledgment of its efficacy. Would that it were so in our Western culture! - Ingrid Daniels
The Teachers

Dr Kalyan Bhattacharyea has a vast wealth of homeopathic experience to share. He has been in practice for 35 years and runs a busy clinic in Kolkata. . He shares this with a humility and humour that makes studying with him a joy. He brings a wonderful homeopathic imagination to the challenges of treating difficult cases.

Dr Dilip Bhattacharyea has made a speciality of the treatment of mental illness. In his clinics you will see impressive results, a new approach to prescribing and learn about many new applications of well known remedies.

Dr Kalishankar Bhattacharyea is a master of diagnosis. He is famous for his ability to diagnose diseases accurately without the need for expensive tests! He is also a homeopath.

A rare opportunity
This course will immerse you in a culture where homeopathy is a fully accepted healing art and is used in daily practice for serious conditions - an environment that can help any serious aspiring homeopath to see the power within and the power to help. You will be not just in a classroom but in a clinic (with translation) at the front line of the homeopathic practice of the renowned Drs Bhattacharyea. All this against the back drop of a culture known for its refinement and mysticism.

This is a small intimate course with a very limited number of participants, so to avoid disappointment, contact Angie today: email metzang@aol.com phone 02088306020
