That is so true. I managed to find an area of old barnyard manure in front of a barn. I planted some greens. Not kidding, the leaves are about 2 feet in diameter. Try to find an old barn where cattle once were. God Bless.

It's worse than that - the overuse of chemical fertilizers in American farming leaches the Magnesium out of the soil ..... so you will not get what you need from green veg - they can not absorb magnesium that is not there in the soil!
You'd need to move to the Balkans or some place they still do farming minus chemicals.
