Can you spell hypersensitive???

Post by Shannon Nelson »

Oh help, my hypersensitive sometime-patient way-beyond-my-pay-grade buddy asked for a remedy to help moderate drug reactions.

Ars seemed like a good fit.

She took one pellet of 6c, and here is her report:

==========
I felt pretty awful and nothing improved or changed that I recall. It lasted around an hour, I think. Oh--except . duh! the palpitations did decrease. Not right away, but later. But I felt too horrible to want to try it again. My mind felt creepy.

nausea, allover icky feeling.

which has kindof continued today, actually. nigtmarish and nauseated.
the ickiness today feels similar

night before last [which is the night following that single pellet of 6c], also I slept NOT AT ALL-- took ativan at dawn and dozed a bunch during the day, then slept 8pm to 4 am last night.

so yeah, uh, actually a lot happened.

no more ars for me

========
As she was sending this, I was sending my thought that first idea would be small sip of well diluted water potency of same. She replied:

"yikes at the thought of getting it anywhere near me again.

the consequences cd be super serious for me right now--like not sleeping again cd be a seizure."

----------------
My favorite idea is to say Wow, we'd better not try any more remedies just now.

But in any case I am interested to hear thoughts?

She did not do water potency initially because she has generally refused to mess with them, and more recently said she tends to not have any effect from water potencies anyway, whereas does react (and even over-react) to dry.

Thanks for any thoughts.

It has been my experience that the tiniest dose - like one drop in 8 oz, not stirred - of a 30c or even an LM1 can reach out to the body for whom it is the correct remedy and give good results. So I would look very closely at the prescription according to her whole case, not to the condition, and then insist upon a water dose. When it is right, you will know. I don't believe it is hypersensitivity alone which made her react thusly to Ars - it just may not be close enough.

I've found that olfaction of a water potency works wonders for extremely sensitive patients.

Hm, and might also be effective to ameliorate an overreaction.
For some reaso I keep forgetting about olfaction, thanks for bringing it back up!

Hi Shannon.
Friction (hold bottle for a few second or drop remedy on the healthy skin) is safer way to deal with ULTRA SENSITIVE PEOPLE (many of them are multiple chemical sensitive). Start with lowest potency possible.
Olfactory approach, if remedy contain alcohol that cause reaction.

Hm, thank you. She is MCS.

What makes this more difficult, is that her sensitivity seems to be particular to *each* remedy as well as variable at different times. She says that usually she doesn't respond to water potencies--but will respond to the same remedy and potency in dry dose. Yet this kind of overreaction has happened a few times before -- tho fortunately she has *usually* responded well to normal dosing, both dry and LM.

(thinking aloud) In her current situation (crisis) I guess I should have expected that she might be more reactive… Will have to start taking that into account more with her, and give a try to friction and skin, thanks!

With patients like this, who needs enemies? I think your "favorite idea" is right on. You might also want to reconsider the remedy choice.
Peace,

:-) Too true, Dale!

Happily she has just begun with a very wonderful healer who uses an entirely different method that just may be able to help her. And best of all, will not involve me. Whew… Maybe some day I will be up to treating patients in her condition, but at this point I am not. Oh well.

Yes, rubbing a few drops of RX on the skin is another way to address this. I can not see how holding the bottle of rx would do anything. Because if it did we'd be in big trouble - constantly dosing ourselves!

You mentioned that your pt wants a remedy to help 'moderate drug reactions'. What does this mean exactly? Did you take a complete case?
