simillimum or aggravation
Usually externalization of symptoms means that Hering's Laws of Cure are being witnessed which is a very good sign.
It needs a good assessment of other symptoms to be sure.
One thing that is for sure is that remedies related to HPV are needed.

If the remedy has a cold sore, the remedy could be right

I have a13 year old boy on homeopathy, I hope this is ok to ask, recent we started a remedy (gave 30c for 2 doses), his drooling improved on the first dose for 2 days (desired), but developed cold sore which he's never had, would this be indicative of aggrevation or wrong remedy?
THanks,
Jaimee

Hi Soroush,
Which remedies have affirnity to HPV?
Would you treat this as acute or would you do intercurrent remedy with the chronic remedy?
thanks
Jaimee

Hi Jaimee
I would not treat this at all - who is the homeopath you are working with?. You could easily suppress it and cause further problems. I don't agree remedy needs to have any affinity to so-called virus (but Soroush thinks differently). You allow it to express itself and exteriorize and talk with your homeopath

And with only two days elapsed, I would think it could also simply be that the cold sore was on the way, and the remedy did not yet have time to head it off.
So check with your homeopath -- but I am curious, if you leave out of the picture both the decrease in drooling and the cold sore, are there any other changes, even subtle, since beginning the remedy? E.g. changes in mood, energy, sleep, appetite, or ??

Dear Jaimee
According to Dr Shahrdar's research the following have an affinity to HPV:
Thuja, Calc, Lyc, Staph, Sep, Nit-acid, Psor, Sars, Nat-s, Sabin,
I would not treat the cold sore! I think the vital force is talking to us, let it speak!

Re: simillimum or aggravation
I had the same thought about his cold sore because I got one around the same time and I'm not on remedy. My son never had cold sore in his life. I would prefer him having a fever but I'll take any exteriorization!
In therapy today , he was able to lift his left lower leg to ~40 degree when sitting, he's never been able to do this in the past. Last week, he naped 3 & 1/2 hour on day3 of the first dose remedy, (he often need a nap on day 3 of many remedies he tried in the past), but after that day, he's up later for the next few days. His mood and appetite is always good, it's hard to assess these areas. So this is enough to say it's positive effect from the remedy?
My son's case is very complicated and we've been to many professional homeopaths and no one was able to help him much, the only improvement was slight improvement in cognition and slight better language that come and go, even his improvements were from remedies, we (and the homepath) would never know which ones because the homeopath switches his remedies so fast because the improvements were not clear, mostly a nap then follow by disturbed sleep pattern. His body esp hands and feet/legs gets very cold (his labs sometimes hypothyroid, sometimes not), and we're not into the winter yet. 3 years of remedies cannot get his body warmer, I really needs to understand what is the blockage to respond or is he is destined to suffer in this lifetime or maybe the remedies were good but the managment is not suitable for him. This most recent remedy is the only one we've tried that we've ever seen with striking improvements. I did something different on the first test dose. So really thanks for all your inputs, Jaimee

yes, not only talking to us, but exteriorizing - dissipating the disturbance - symptoms do that - they actually are doing a job

Re: simillimum or aggravation
Dear Jamiee,
Even if you think that HPV is the cause of the cold sores, there are other causes as well. With so few symptoms, you could not conclude that HPV was the causal miasm.
Lab tests showing this or that miasm (disease caused by a pathogen) do not necessarily even mean that the miasm is the lab result. That is, something else could be causing the problem. Like anything else in homeopathy, you need a whole symptom picture. Dr. Shahrdar's method is used when there are a "paucity of symptoms" (a lack of symptoms that are meaningful for classical homeopathic analysis ). But even in that case, if possible, you use the whole picture that you get from classical homeopathy analysis. They may be too common to bring up a definitive remedy in classical analysis. In that case, you might use Dr. Shahrdar's research results. Even if you don't have lab results, you can use the software to find out which miasm symptom picture best fits your patient's whole picture. In any case, you are comparing your information to a bigger picture.
Your little aggravation or proving symptom lacks a bigger picture. Since for most people, they are bearable, you wait and see what else happens. Or as Sheri say, you don't treat in the first place because you don't really have a homeopathic case.
In my view, homeopathy is really powerful, so I save my big guns for big problems. I leave the rest to nature. My mind/body is naturally organized to take care of most little problems so actually I don't get much chance to practice with big problems. That's the best case scenario.
Best,
Ellen Madono
