I'd have got back to him, I think, with a few questions, concerning such things as what kinds of therapy they're envisaging as being holistic, what has led them to seek it from you or whose idea it is, whether they're aware of your charges, where they will be staying, the kind of work that they do (as it's evidently relevant), what a "holistic experience" means to him, and where they heard about you. If they're legitimate, they wouldn't have minded answering a few questions, and it would have saved the potential embarrassment of his learning that you had broadcast a private e-mail; if they're not legitimately seeking your services, they'd probably make it evident by not bothering to reply.

I can't see that sending a copy of the e-mail to others is going to resolve veracity, because he may quite legitimately have sent the same enquiry to others in your locality.

Best of luck sorting it out, anyway. Cheers --

John

Hi Rochelle,
That sounds exactly like the email scam that one of the Associations here (Australia) warned us about. I think the scam happens around how they offer to prepay, but then somehow need you to pay them back.

Given the active repressions of homeopathy and other holistic protocols,
we do need to be wary of people fishing for personal information for other
nefarious purposes. Must think Codex and its goals.
