Hello,
My daughter has intractable seizures inspite of various drugs. She has lost all her milestones also. She is hypotonic. How much ever we try she is not able to retain any food, vomits most of the time.
We recently did a blood work and found her copper levels high - 156 as against 20-70. Is this causing her seizures? Toxoplasma (IgE), CMV (IgE) and HSV 1 & 2 (IgE) are also positive. Neuros are not able to come to any conclusion on why her seizures are not getting controlled and what is the cause of the seizures.
Any inputs?

There is a homeopath in Wollongong . You could Google --Jon Gamble , Karuna Health Care, who has the expertise and knowledge and special remedies for high mineral levels. I would find it very stressful to get it all together but am pretty sure he could help as he does this sort of thing all the time. Not that far away. Perhaps could send him copy of tests as the other metal levels important too in choosing best remedy prior to visiting in case could advise. Say if a very long waiting list I could only do it if he advised on protocol

Wouldn't a high copper level mean a low zinc level? And a deficiency of zinc
can cause seizures. What about the water supply? If there is a lot of acid in
water it can leach copper from pipes and get into the water supply. Just some
thoughts.

We don't use tap water for drinking but use purified water. Should I test her again for Zinc?

She is 4.5 yrs now. I have been in this forum for last 4 years to find cure for my daughter.
She was vaccinated (3) on the first day of her birth and until 9 months. After that I stopped giving vaccines.

Only thing she is not able communicate it back to us either verbally or by way of signs. Most of the time she uses eye movement.
Cal-Phos, Calcarea Phos seems to help her a bit. But does not stop the seizures.

Food intolerances.
Gluten/WHEAT, DAIRY/casein, and soy are neuro toxic to those with intolerances. Also others but those are the major ones.
Remove these for at least a month, do research on all the names they have in ingredients list. They have many hidden names. You can also do allergy testin IgG, IgE blood testing. Intolerances lead to leaky gut syndrom where no nutrients get absorbed.

Banu, what has her diet been so far?
I have read recently that coconut oil and putting the person into ketosis (byw hich I do NOT mean the dangerous ketoacidosis state of diabetes, but simply a state where the body is burning fats for energy instead of carbs) can control epilepsy. Is this something you're aware of? (I would have to google for more details.) Coconut oil favors healthy ketosis and is also healing to the nervous system--or so I have read; can be safely used as a major calorie source.
