belladonna...desire to escape

Post by Carol Orr »

Escape from anything? Literally running away like a child would? Escaping
through drugs to get away from their life problems? Escape into a book to get
away from problems? Can't stand the cold, escape to mexico for the winter? Or
just a general desire to quickly get away from any situation they are in for
whatever reason?

Hi Carol,

If you look at the proving information in Hering's The Guiding Symptoms of Our Materia Medica

Fantastic illusions when closing eyes
Imagines he sees ghosts, hideous faces and various insects.
Then:
Fear of imaginary things, wants to run away from them
Frightful visions; she wishes to hide herself
Delirium; with frightful figures and images before eyes; is afraid of imaginary things; sees monsters; talks of dogs as if they swarmed about him
In the evening he was seized with such violent delirium that it required three men to confine him......
Desire to escape or hide himself
Jumping out of bed with fear, trying to run away and hide
Anxiety and fear of imaginary objects and hallucinations, ghosts, soldiers which come to take them away, black animals, rats, dogs, wolves etc.
It is often not enough to find a rubric in the repertory.
We need to dig further and find out why that rubric is in the repertory in the first place.

Hope this is helpful,
Lynn

That was very helpful..so mostly it is some internal stimulus with little
basis in reality..I suppose running away or hiding from something in a dream
such as an animal or ghost, etc., would then apply.
