I don’t know if others have noticed this in the news lately. It is about a new once a day allopathic injection for diabetes type 2 patients who usually inject twice daily.
>
I have therefore been looking at the provngs of Heloderma Suspectum to see if there are any references to diabetic symptoms.
I wondered if anyone had every used this remedy with someone with diabetes.

Re: Gila Monster
It has been talked about - I thought it was on this list, (maybe it was beyondhom, the conversations used to run in tandem on both lists with slightly different emphasis), but it would have been a while ago.

Re: Gila Monster
since you need to focus on the individual sympt. anyhow, with in the background the knowledgte that helo. has a relation to diabetes, is enough, provided the helo. picture fits.

Re: Gila Monster
Rochelle,
I wrote about Byetta here in the April 2009 thread, Byetta vs. Heloderma Suspectum, was Hypertension & Hypothyroidism.
Bydureon is time released Byetta, same drug injected once a week instead of twice daily. USA approval was delayed for a year because the FDA requested additional testing info on possible heart and other safety issues. There is no difference between Byetta and Bydureon in what they do, but it's unproven how time released Bydureon "slow drip" might differ from twice daily Byetta. The drug trial group is mixed, not all were on Byetta.
I have been using Byetta since October 2005. I never found it lowered blood sugar significantly though when first taking it I lost 50lbs of weight gained when becoming diabetic, one beneficial side effect.
I do find after taking an injection I feel wonderful with lots of energy. I believe this has to do with effects insulin resistance and mitochondrial energy which cause tiredness.
After taking it for 1-3 months, I need to stop taking it for weeks or months because it causes overstimulation, hyperactivity, anxiousness, nervousness, edginess.
Some of these are in the proving of Heloderma Suspectum.
I will at times only take Byetta once a day because of this.
I feel that Byetta should be tried for hyperthyroidism since when starting it I had to stop thryoid meds for hypothyroidism and believe the gila monster hormone regulates endrocrine functions up and down, basically homeostasis. This type of action is shown for Byetta since it regulates both hypo and hyperglycemia.
"After blood sugar levels off, BYETTA stops signaling the pancreas to produce insulin. This effect helps the body avoid low blood sugar, too (called hypoglycemia). As a result, BYETTA may help reduce your high blood sugar levels throughout the day. And that can mean better control, which can be one of the keys to helping manage your diabetes."
The remedy might be worth trying for a hyperthyroid Grave's disease case.
Personally, if you have never used Byetta, I would try it first before Bydureon. You may have an unwanted side effect that you won't want to last a week.
Is Bydureon available yet in Europe since it has EU approval?
Victoza is the current competing drug to Byetta, injected once a day. I tried it and it dramatically lowers blood sugar fast. Unfortunately, I had neck and head severe side effects after three attempts so can not take it.
Both of these are expensive drugs. Byetta initially was $200/month, now is approaching $400/month. Each pen is a 30 day supply and drug effect wanes after first use, I find after 3 weeks usually don't feel good from what I think is one of the preservatives deteriorating as exposed to air.
Had thought about trying the remedy but the one I found at Helios is a different lizard species than in the proving though haven't checked recently.
