Must turn head top right side to cough

Cough, brief, croupy but the strange symptom is that pt must turn head to the right in order to have an efficatious cough. That is, have a full cough and be satisfied so as to be able to stop coughing. I can't seem to fins any rubric in which turning the head gives a full satisfying cough.
