WAS (Fluid in the inner ear)
Dear Jeff
Please note that none of them had access to Organon 6 as we do but take time and tell us how each of Boger, Hering, Bönninghausen and Kent went beyond Hahnemann's teaching..
Also there is a BIG difference in 'going beyond' his teachings - i.e. developing techniques etc and going 'completely against his instructions' by practising polypharmacy as you have admitted to doing so.
One of the beauties of the single remedy prescription is its guiding force in indicating what might be a possible follow up both when treating acutes and chronics.
By using multiple remedies at the same time, this ability is lost because of the patient per chance got better, there is no indication as to what actually worked.

I understand Hahnemannian Homeopathy and accept it for what it is.
BUT, I can not keep only within its confines .I can not accept that SH would not
want progress. Boger went beyond SH's teachings as did Herring, Bonning.Kent, etc.
But somehow that's alright. None of us today dare.

I could not, for the life of me, find Hering's law in the Organon 6 (W. Boericke). Perhaps you could guide me to the aphorism.

Dear Jeff
Hering's observations of how symptoms move during cure in no way negates anything in the Organon.
Polypharmacy does!
I note that you have failed to substantiate your assertion that " Boger went beyond SH's teachings as did Herring, Bonning.Kent, etc."

Re: WAS (Fluid in the inner ear)
Jeff, if you believe that Hering's law calls upon the conscientious homoeopathic physician to prescribe other than in accordance with homoeopathy's fundamental principle, then I, for one, will be most interested to hear how you arrive at that belief.
If you do not believe so, then why on earth are you bringing it up as an example of a practitioner going "beyond" that principle?

I do not believe anything you have suggested that I might believe. I am merely suggesting Hering's Law has been accepted
as an adjunct and is not something SH tought.

Soroush,
I am a homepath and use homeopathic remedies, but in some case if I see
something other than homeopathic remedy is required for a quick 'cure'
I shall use it.
I have used Bach's Rescue Remedy with amazing results - it is not Homeopathy
but it does not prevent me from employing it.

Re: WAS (Fluid in the inner ear)
Hahnemann does discuss reversal of symptoms in Chronic Diseases:
Hering's observations are based on Hahnemann's teachings on the development of Psora and the reversal of the order of the symptoms.
The Chronic Diseases, Theoretical part, p 135 (my copy), [or, go to the end of the Psora chapter and count back 24 paragraphs]
It starts with “The latest symptoms”
"The latest symptoms that have been added to a chronic disease which has been left to itself (and thus has not been aggravated by medical mismanagement) are always the first to yield in an antipsoric treatment; but the oldest ailments and those which have been most constant and unchanged, among which are the constant local ailments, are the last to give way; and this is only effected, when all the remaining disorders have disappeared and the health has been to all other respects almost totally restored."

Re: WAS (Fluid in the inner ear)
It is actually not a law and possibly not from Hering and certainly not something that is written in stone or even something many of us see:
http://homeopathy.ca/articles_det12.shtml
Might want to read a bit on the history of this 'non-law'

Re: WAS (Fluid in the inner ear)
It is not in the Organon and not 'accepted' by me as anything valid as a law
