Vet Rubric question -elephants

Post by Ananda Ruchira »

Hi all

Sheldrick's www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/ takes in all orphaned elephants and rhinos, mainly orphaned from poachers or drought. To my knowledge they've been incorporating homeopathy in their care for the animals since the 1980's. They don't make a loud to-do about it. They get their support from some homeopaths in UK or USA (sorry I don't know who). They are located at Nairobi Wildlife Park inside the city limits so they're easy to visit.

I met up with Dame Sheldrick a few years ago and we offered to assist, but they seem to get along just fine thru their own network.

As I said, they use Lac elephant for the abandonment issues and for adjusting the babies to their milk formula. They use other remedies for common problems and do use antibiotics when deemed.

While I was there a few years back, I treated a gunshot wounded orphan that wasn't healing properly. We succeeded.

DISCLAIMER: I'm sorry to strict classicists for the above non-classical reply and I'm sorry I can't tell you what I used on the gunshot wound since I really don't feel like coming under attack again for being honest. (HINT: it may isopathic rather than homeopathic - dear homeo students: look it up.)

I'd still like to hear an opinion from anybody about my orginal question re using Lac-C for mother-issues dogs.
Sincerely,
