They do know that. They are just being very conservative and trying to cover their butts.
But all that aside, the situation with this teen is that she has not been taking the malaria rx regularly
and it is of great concern that she will not follow protocol when amongst 15 other teens running around
a foreign/new country with all there is to see and be involved in.
I am open to suggestions and help in getting her ready, health-wise for this trip. With a more responsible
child, it would be less of a concern.

Hi Tanya,
I understand your frustration but you need to be "recognized" (licensed) by the jurisdiction in which you
write a legal document (your note) Naturopaths are not recognized by NYS. The closet recognizing
jurisdiction for naturopaths in CT.
I am licensed as a naturopath in state 'A' but live in state 'B' I needed to write a note for a disbaled parking permit to DMV in state B which recognizes naturopaths. HOWEVER it was illegal for me to write the note using an address in state B as state B doesn't recognize me. BUT if I wrote the note using a state A address (remember state A recognizes me) and the patient submits it to DMV in state B then it is legal.
Crazy legal crap, huh... I sincerely wish you both luck & ease in obtaining your note

I am having difficulty finding a licensed person to write a vaccine exemption for my
15 yr old granddaughter. She is going to Senegal this coming month and the ND who
said he would do it, refused yesterday. I am really ticked off. But still need to get this
done ASAP. We are in NYS. Is there someone on this list who can do this for us, or
knows someone who can. Don't know if the practitioner needs to be licensed in NY as
this is a global program.

Well that is the issue of States Rights vs Federal Regs.
Reciprocity exists on many issues but not with anything holistic
They are going after Raw Milk now and the Feds (FDA) are making it illegal
to sell across state lines (their province), but they cannot interfere with intrastate
sales which is a State's Right. Gay marriage is another one. The feds basically
defined gay marriage as not legal, but States can legalize it as just happened in NY.
I think I prefer the State's Rights status despite this holistic healing problem. Otherwise
we would be legislated out of existence. Sen. Durbin and the FDA are pulling a fast one
on natural supplements as we write. Rec'd info last nite on a bill they are trying to slip
thru Congress just as they broke for the holiday when noone was looking.
