advice please- aggravation update

Post by Rochelle Marsden »

Firstly let me say that I made up a water potency of Ars 6 and had her sip this for a few doses. Her husband phoned in the evening and told me that after the remedy I gave her this morning she slept for 3 hours and woke feeling better (being intense pain had gone and back to where she started ) but later on she had been sick with vomiting and fainting BUT she is taking a Tetracycline for a mild chest infection. Well she didn’t tell me that and that she has 3 more days to take them. I looked up this drug and guess what – the first side effect mentioned was nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea!!! (All Ars Sx!!!!!!) This drug was not indicated for a chest infection but for Syphilis, prostatitis, malaria, aphthae ulcers in the mouth etc!!!! I told her husband that since her symptoms are so severe I suggest that he calls a doctor tonight
I have just spoken to the patient. A doctor came round this morning and said that he didn’t think the antibiotic had caused this reaction and wanted her to finish the course. She told me that she has had reactions before but immediately not after 3 days. She has 2 more days left of the antibiotics and I told her to phone me when she had finished them. The neuralgic post shingles pain is now no difference to when she came to see me.
Has anyone any ideas what has happened here. Do you think the sickness was from the Ars? And where would you go from here? I think I have to look for a Rx which is close to Ars but that this was not the one which is going to cure her.

The modalities of the pain are:-

Hi rochelle

Tautopathics can help too for detoxing and getting thru the "haze" and open a door to receptibilty of your remedy.

By my way of thinking, since she's only asking you to treat 1 problem and since all her other medications are "treating" all her other problems, then look more to the pathological, clinical remedy, lower potency.

comment about ran-b - I found to be very excellent, but more so when there are respiratory sx also in the overall picture, (not necessarily directly related)

comment about rhus-t - also excellent on clinical side, esp where the overall picture includes "rhus type" things like fever, joint pains.

Is it possible that you gave a remedy for the chronic situation and got surprised by an ongoing acute that you hadn’t been told about? I think I’d probably try to isolate the symptoms of the acute aggravation, and give a remedy based on them (your modalities at a glance – I didn’t search – make me wonder about China or Chinin-ar). If the symptoms were due to Ars, which I sort of doubt, a dose of a lower potency should antidote. If due to the antibiotic (which is very possible), maybe Nux-v? Phos?

Was this the case of post-herpetic neuralgia? If so, have you looked at Mezereum?
Peace,
Dale

Yes and Yes Mez is a consideration.
I really wondered just what was going on here?

Hi Rochelle
Have you looked at China, which has an affiliation with the liver, which would possibly be compromised due to all the allopathic drugs?
Or possibly there's a place for the bowel nosode Dys-Co (but I don't know how you feel about using these)?

Dear Sue,

I haven’t looked at China but will!! I do you bowel nosodes but rarely at the beginning of treatment. At the moment though the major concern is to alleviate the neuralgic pain for her.
Thanks

Yes I did give a lower potency – Ars 6 and it did antidote the agg of the symptoms she came with only to begin with the sickness and fainting a few hours later. Nux Vom did come to mind . I will see how she is on Friday . I suspect we will be back to square one – the neuralgia from the shingles that she came with.
