Broken bone

Post by JULIE GRIFFITHS »

Hi,

We have just been to Emerg with Dx broken finger. I had a long conversation with an Orthoped doc who dislikes homeopathy but listened to some of my healing stories with fascination...he told me 4-6 weeks to mend a bone. I remember on this list someone recounting really fast healing of bone with a remedy and I cannot remember what it was. My daughter doesn't have any symptoms different to her normal state so I am not sure if her present picture need be accounted for. She's just got swelling and is in a bit of pain....

Any ideas?

BTW he's Indian, the doctor, and told me that friends of his who practise homeopathy in India tell him the secret of the remedies is that they have steroids in them!!!!

many thanks,
Julie

I simply gave a few doses of Arnica 30c (what I had in my emergency kit) to my mother when she fell and jammed her finger. Within a couple of days she was able to use the hand again; it was not until later that we learned she'd actually broken the finger.
Homeopaths usually also recommend Symphytum to promote faster repair of the break, but if it's not a complicated break, plain old Arnica will probably do the trick.
Peace,
Dale

It might have been me - I had very fast healing of a fracture with Symphytum. I think I took a 200 and then made up a water potency of 30C and took it every day. I presume you have given Arnica .

Hi Julie,

I believe it is Symphytum officinale (comfrey) that is used to help accelerate the mending of broken bones.

The important thing is that it should not be used until after the bone is set as you want to make sure things are properly aligned before you start the remedy.

Cheers,
-Stephanie

I have heard of some companies making "homeopathic remedies" that include drugs. That is entirely unethical, entirely un-homeopathic, and FWIW entirely against the HPUS (US standard requirements for being sold as a "homeopathic remedy.").

It's like saying the secret of being a really good at mathematician, is to find a really smart person to cheat off of in school. :-) (In other words, NOT.)

I wonder if it is legal in India to do that?
